*Update* Holiday Grand Plan Challenge: Week 5 Entry/Foyer

***Switching to the Holiday Grand Plan***

Join anytime you want to or can. The goal is to get the house in order while organizing and preparing for the winter holidays. If your home is small without several rooms (like mine ), just work in areas. If the plan calls for working on a particular room or area of your home that isn't actually in your home, just pick a different area for that week. Make it work for you.

Seems like last year there was a plan that started around now to get your home organized for the holiday season. I'll have to look around the website again. It wasn't the six week plan, it seemed like the Grand Plan.

Sounds really interesting. I'd like to do it-but I might have to finish a couple weeks early before the baby comes But we only have a two-bedroom so it might not be that bad!

i think i'll join because it will give me a good excuse to do what i love- cleaning and organizing! there are a few areas that i would like to get to but feel guilty spending the time.

I would love to join. I have just come back from being overseas in a wonderful, large, uncluttered space to our apartment- which needs decluttering. I would love to have it done for the holidays- actually earlier since my DH comes home in November.

Soon, Katie wrote the Holiday Grand Plan that is presented here. The Holiday Grand Plan encompasses the 13-week Grand Plan for deep cleaning and organizing, and dovetails it with holiday prep and extends it to 18 weeks.� Beginning the last week in August, the Holiday Grand Plan is designed to clean, organize and prepare a home for Christmas.

Is this the one we'd be doing? It says it starts the last week of August, so we'd better get going!!

Each week we can post a sample checklist for guidance, and if you don't have that room or area just pick another. For example, I don't have a family room so I'll probably do our office area that week and we don't have a guest room so I'll probably do closets that week.

okay I know this isn't rocket science.... but are folks going to be using sept 1 of the deadline to have your plan together and sept 8 as the deadline to be done with the entry? or will you start working on your plan on sept 1 being done with it on the 8th, then start the entry on the 8th being done the next week....

I'm in. We are going to be moving out of our home for renovations from Nov.-Jan., but that still gives me 2 good months.

I can probably combine some rooms each week and get through it all on a slightly different schedule. My house isn't totally out of control, I just really need help on the nitty gritty stuff. I think this plan may help me get all the finishing touches done.
