Just thought this may be a good idea... I have not eaten much today because of my stupid cold- I can't taste anything, but I am trying to get in my protein and fruits and veggies...

~Breakfast: yogurt with granola, 2 veggie sausages
~Lunch: soy bacon, tofurkey, and cheese on whole wheat bread, big salad
~snack: strawberry smoothie, granola bar
~dinner: soy chick'n soup, salad, ciabatta bread
~snack: lowfat ice cream

I feel like if I post what I eat here, I am more likely to eat better to save myself the embarassment of confessing that I ate 12 twinkies or something...

So, what did you eat today? I would like to make this a daily thread if there is any interest...

I'd totally be in for a M-F daily thread. Don't have much access on the weekends. Today I deserve a rotten tomato being thrown at me for what I've eaten : It's been a very hard day emotionally for some reason and my eating has done nothing to improve it.

coffee
doughnut
chocolate croissant
apple strudle cake (2 pieces)
2nd choc croissant (they were really small, I promise)

yeah, that is it... I am having the worlds largest bowl of steamed kale tonight with some fried eggs to make up for greens and protein. I know that part of the reason I have continued to feel like crap today is because all I ate was crap and yet I couldn't dig myself out of it...

But yes, I would love to post daily because besides today I have been making a real effort to eat well esp this last trimester and doing okay at it. But I like the accountability that posting has

Oh- and I have a confession: yesterday the only fruit/veggie I had was a minneola. That is all. Other than that I had ice cream, 3 oreos (double stuffed, no less), a grilled cheese... isn't that bad? ONE FRUIT. That is all. ugh. I am taking prenatals so I am not going to beat myself up, but I do feel guilty...

Oh yeah! I did manage to get my iron suppliment both times today So I can feel good about that.

yogachick, chocolate sounds so good right now. I'm off the sugar and making cupcakes with my kids as we speak. Will be so hard not to eat them.
Well I have no idea what I'm having for dinner, dh started school today and I am lazy. But so far.
B - bowl of cereal with soy milk, watermelon, decaf soy latte
L- tofu scramble in a ww/corn tortilla with avocado
D- most likely will be baked tofu, corn on the cob, boiled potatoes and green beans

I usually don't eat that much tofu in a day, but haven't eaten it at all during this pg and now am having cravings.

I had a SERIOUS aversion to tofu during my first trimester- last time too. I could not even THINK about it without wanting to hurl. I am glad it passed though... tofu scramble is sounding good right about now!

I love the idea of this daily thread!

Ok, so I have had--yes, I have had a BAD eating day, but I will be the first to admit it cause!

breakfast: oatmeal
lunch-1 piece of chicken
snack-vegan chocolate chip cupcake.

and then all my fluids.


*sigh* I haven't done so well. but I honestly have NO appetite today.

I eat a lot...

Breakfast: 2 eggs on jalapeno cheese toast and a grapefruit

Lunch: 1/2 Veggie Bare Burrito at Baja Fresh w/ a large helping of guacamole

Snack: small bunch of grapes

Dinner: I guess I'll have the other half of my Bare Burrito

BTW: I passed my GTT, so I am feeling very proud of myself

Let's see...today I've had....

Breakfast- Cocoa Puffs w/ 2% milk (I'll explain in a minute)
Lunch- Egg Salad on whole wheat bread, carrots, and some sun chips.
Snack- A whole red pepper with hummus
Dinner- Mequite chicken breast, stuffed zucchini, and some special penne pasta (protein & omega 3s...wooo hooo).

And lots and lots of chocolate milk (ok, two 8 oz glasses, but still). I had to have cocoa puffs for breakfast mostly for the milk...and I can't seem to get enough chocolate milk. This started a couple days ago. I drink tons and tons of water until I give in to the urge. Seriously, this morning I drank four tall glasses (equal to 5...yes 5...8 oz servings) of water and then gave in and had 8 oz of chocolate milk.

This is making it tough to take my iron because I can't take it with milk. I'm still waiting so I can take it today. ARGH! Today was a bad eating day though (probably because I was so full from all the liquids).

~ BREAKFAST: Honey wheat bagel with egg, extra cheese, some bacon (oh where oh where did my veggie self go?)

~ LUNCH: Large salad with lots of stuff, including cheese, garbonzo beans, cottage cheese, and egg for protein

~ DINNER: Turkey burger tacos with pico de gallo, lettuce, cheese and beans

~ DRINKS: (3) 16oz bottles of water, (1) 20oz of O Water (electrolyte enhanced water), 16oz fountain Pepsi, (1) 20oz Smart Water (electrolyte enhanced)

~ SNACK: (1) small hamburger

I have such pregnancy brain I hope I can remember what I ate today.

Bf-Bowl of cereal, half of a chocolate crossiant, decaf coffee

Lunch-Costco samples :

Dinner-pesto pasta, 2 slices of a baugette

Snacks- one string of the string cheese my son ate. one apple slice and lots of water.
Hmm....not doing so well today. I am not very hungry but that changes, so hopefully tomorrow I will do better.

Breakfast: cereal and milk
2nd breakfast (this is a real meal in my mind): 2 cookies, ha ha
Lunch: hummus with 1/2 whole wheat pita and baby carrots, cheese chunk, milk with Ovaltine
Snack: oatmeal breakfast cookie, granola bar, RRL tea
Dinner: broccoli-cheese-rice casserole, milk, fruit cup
Dessert: ice cream
Before bed: cereal and milk

plus water and decaf iced tea

(Wow, I drank a lot of milk today!)

DH made me a rasin bagel with nutella for breakfast

I had a saltine cracker and 1/2 cup of bananna chips for lunch because I thought I was going to vomit and it was the only thing appetizing.

Dinner was my own concoction of leftover buffalo roast, peas and carrots, pearl onions and minced garlic with grated swiss and A-1 baked between 2 pizza crusts kinda like a calzone. I ate about 1/3 of the pie. Everyone here loved it and wants me to make it again.

I've been drinking lots of water. My aversion to BBQ sauce is back. I think I'm getting a sinus thing because I've been getting dizzy even when my blood sugar is fine and my heartburn/nausea/lack of apetite is back with a vengence.

Breakfast: Whole wheat bagel with cream cheese, banana, OJ
Lunch: Sloppy joes, cucumber salad, tomatoes
Snacks: grapes, granola bar
Dinner: chicken sandwich, potatoes
Snack: chocolate cake (that my aunt brought over!)

Drinks: 5 glasses of water, 2 glasses milk, 1 glass OJ

I've noticed that since I'm not on my feet doing as much as I used to, I'm not nearly as hungry. I'm really struggling to get the protein in now.

hmmm let's see if I can remember (I don't think it was great tho..)

B: gluten free cereal with rice milk and plain yogurt
honeydew melon

L: potato salad
roll w/butter (yikes bad lunch today)
I think I had some dark chocolate too

D: hamburger with refried beans and salsa
pirate Booty
tomato cuke salad w/ vinagrette (from someones garden,, yum)
a piece of a blondie/brownie thing
ps this is a good idea.. total accountability for what I do and don't put in my mouth.. greens have been the hardest for me this PG
