I am so FREAKING excited...

to meet this baby! I can't wait! Of course, I don't want her to be born now but I am FINALLY relaxing, enjoying being pregnant, and not being a paranoid lunatic! It amazes me- we will have a little person to teach and mold and cuddle and love! I sometimes forget how awesome it is going to be.

Are you excited, or what?

You can count me in!! And what makes the excitment more intense is my ds(4)....he can barely contain himself.... (though I do have him down to asking me just ONE time a day when his brother will be here...and THAT is a major accomplishment!)

Ha- I remember when my parents told me they were having my sister (I was 8). I didn't speak to them for DAYS, I was so mad! I think that was right around the time that I found out how babies were made! It is good that your DS is excited!

The kids are SO excited and I'm almost too excited to wait for the next 13-14 weeks too

Oh gosh, I am SO excited. Adding to it is the fact that I don't know if this baby is a boy or girl. It'd be nice to know already.

But on the other hand, I can wait. There's still a bit to be done before s/he arrives and it's so darn hot here I'd be afraid to leave the house with a newbie.

I saw the CUTEST idea once and I think I'll use it when the due date gets closer and DD starts asking more often. Make a paper chain with a loop for each day until your due date (if I do this I think I'll make at least an extra weeks worth of loops just in case!). Every day you take off one link in the chain, so they can see the chain getting smaller. You can use this for a countdown to Christmas, first day of school, etc. I thought it was so cute!

But anyway, COUNT ME IN! I just started last night feeling really really excited and sort of connected to this little bean. I mean, I felt connected, but I dunno- It just felt like something sort of sparked and I really feel so much MORE excited now. I think I'm realizing that this will be a whole new person, not just DD1 all over again, and I'm so excited to meet her!

Hmmm. I always preferred the chocolate advent calendar for the days before Christmas...you open a little window and there is chocolate in it! But OK, a paper chain is good too... and calorie-free! That is a good idea. I would like DH to let me buy one baby item a day for every day between now and when the baby is born...

Oh, if there's chocolate involved, I'll take that over a paper chain any day!

First of all, Maisedotes, I am so happy for you that you are finally able to relax and enjoy this pregnancy. I remember when I finally hit that stage with DD--it was HUGE for me. Its hard to open yourself up to hope after a loss, but it feels so wonderful!

I'm getting so excited too! I just can't wait to see her face, you know?

DD is really beside herself about the baby. She hugs and kisses my belly constantly, and talks about how much she loves the baby all day long. She asks me about 45 times a day when the baby is coming.

We were driving in the car the other day and saw our first fall leaves--a small grouping of trees that had already turned red and yellow (for those of you who have never seen fall in New England, it is worth the trip!). DD FREEAKED OUT! She said, "Mommy, Mommy, the leaves are changing colors--its fall! Caitlin is coming in the fall! Is she coming now? Is she coming right now????" She was sooo disappointed when I told her that we still have months to wait!

I am torn between being really, really excited to meet the new little one and also wanting to enjoy this stage of the pregnancy, where I can feel him moving around. It's such a unique and amazing thing, and since we're planning on this being the last baby.... I'm trying to savor it.

But, yeah, I'm pretty excited to see what he is like! We were moving houses at 7.5 months last time around, so I wanted Dylan to stay inside as long as possible so we had a chance to get everything done. This time I feel like we are moving at a much more leisurely pace.

Whee! Babies coming!

Wish I was feeling like you mamas..... found out there is no way hubby will make the birth or even soon after even if they re-deploy home early as my hubby will be one of the last home because of the "extra" job they game him because he is so wonderful.... be good at what you go and get more work.... Really wishing he was a slacker about now.

I'm feeling the same! This pregnancy has over all been less unpleasant than the last two, I still feel decent, and am so excited to have our last baby join us! It almost feels like our first in a way, I know what boys in our family look like (all the boys related to dh's side are VERY similar looking), so I had an idea of what to imagine with them, but for a girl, I have no idea at all what she'll look like and have imagined her so many ways, I can't wait to meet her for real!

My lil guys are excited too. My 3 year old is waiting pretty well, he knows it will be around Halloween, so he's not pushing for soon. But my 2 year old, he keeps pulling up my shirt, and down my pants to talk to her (don't you know the belly button is a microphone? He thinks so ). I've tried saying she will come around the time he gets to be a 'crocadadle' (his fave animal, crocadile), but since he pretends that all the time, that hasn't helped yet.

Kids are so cute!

I waver b/t being excited and freaking out. Its the whole 2 baby thing though. I am sure if its were one I wouldn't be worried as much.
When I feel their little feet and elbows poking me, I just can't wait to touch them and kiss them. I can't wait to see what they look like. Both dh and I have brown hair, I have brown eyes and dh has blue/green eyes. When ds was born - he had strawberry blond hair! Imagine our surprise!!! To this day, he has the most beautiful ginger/auburn hair. I keep wondering if I am having 2 more redheads!
I hope at least one of them looks somewhat like me. Ds looks just like his daddy. When he was a baby, people thought I was his nanny (this is common in the area we live, so I tired not to get upset)

I LOVE that idea!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely going to have to use it!!!!!!!!!

The paper chain thing would be fun even for my boys at 6, 9 and 12 years old. They can remove a link every day. My 9 year old would BE SO EXCITED to do that. He likes to rehash things over and over so a paper chain that shows him the days would really speak to his sensibilities!

I'm going to have them get started right now..

Evan is really excited... that is good... the rest of the family (even me) are working really hard to be positive.... it's coming along.. but SLOWLY.... baby steps , right??

I'm sooooo excited to meet this baby. I was just lamenting to my husband the other day, "Why isn't human gestation 30 weeks instead of 40?" I'm always ready for the baby to come right about now. I really enjoy pregnancy until the last ten weeks, then I try really hard to be patient and enjoy the fact that the baby is super easy to take care of while in utero.

Me, too. Since this is our first son, there are aspects that do feel like having a first baby again. I can't wait to feel him, hold him in my arms, see what he looks like. My first two girls look nothing like each other, so it's really a guessing game for us! Will he have straight, dark hair like his oldest sister, or red, curly hair like his younger big sister? Will he have European-shaped eyes like the brunette, or Asian-shaped eyes like the redhead? Will he be pink and fair or lovely and yellow?

And also, will he sleep? Will he nurse well? Will he smile early? Will he be a mama's boy, or daddy's little shadow?

Oh, the waiting!

I'm feeling the same way lately. I just can't wait to see her face now that I know we have a name for her. *laughing*
