I want to take the classes but I wonder when I should. I know that the course is 12 weeks long, and I am about to enter my 15th week. Any ideas when I should get started?

I teach Bradley classes in my area, and I often recommend that people start somewhere around 20 weeks (give or take a couple of weeks). That gives plenty of time to finish the series before the baby comes. So now is probably the time to start calling to find a class that works for you.

Start calling now! The holidays will be in the middle of it if you wait longer, and a lot of teachers may not start again till after all that, or you probably at least won't have classes the week of Christmas and Thanksgiving, and it will add a couple weeks. The teacher in our area has a round of classes that finish right before the holidays, and doesn't start another till after new years.

Gwen, or any other instructors, I have a quick question.
We took a Bradley class for DS's birth, and now that we are expecting #2, I don't necessarily feel like I need to take the full course again, but don't want to just do nothing. Any suggestions for parents on the second time around?

I've heard that some instructors offer shortened "refresher" classes.

I started my Bradley classes last pregnancy pretty early on, which was great because I was able to be somewhat flexible, missing some weeks and having time to make them up later, and my instructor also let us come in for a refresher shortly before the birth.
I think I will also go again, not for the whole series, but for a session or 2... mostly to refresh dh's memory! (he's already dragging on the reading assignments I've given him!

What different instructors do for the second (or third, etc) time around varies. I would say to call instructors in your area and see what they offer. Some teach quick "refresher" courses, and others strongly suggest doing a second series. Others offer to have you sit in on a few of the classes in a current series that would most focus on labor and relaxation techniques.
