Hi everyone! What a great forum!
My DD is 11 weeks old and I use prefolds all day. I have been what I consider CHEATING up until this point at night with disposables because I am lazy and I hate having to turn on a light to fiddle with safety pins in the middle of the night. But just having disposables in the house made me cheat more! So I decided to get some all in ones to make my life easier.
I live in Canada and Sears carries Kushies all in ones. I got them at a great price $38 for 5. I was so excited to try them out! DD is roughly 11-12 lbs now and although the diapers seemed a little big on her I 'thought' I got a good fit. Well apparently I was wrong because I woke up to a sopping wet bed (she sleeps with us)!!! The leakage is coming from around the legs.
So whaddya think?? Do you think as she grows and her legs get bigger they will work? Do any of you use Kushies?? Do you think an unsafety pinned prefold inside of it would tighten up the leg holes?? AHHHHH! Any advice is appreciated!!!

I personally think that for the price, they work and are a decent deal, but nothing to get excited about or change your stash over to. If you have the classics, they really aren't true aios-you will need some sort of cover over them for naps and overnight, though you may do fine for day use, depending on your baby's wetting habits. They will also gap at the legs. If you have the ultras (the ones with the "rough" outer) then you've prlly noticed that they have an extremely slim hourglass fit (like a bikini cut) through the legs. These worked for my skinny minny for day use, but they NEVER contained blowouts and even during the day, I had to use doublers for extra absorbancy. When I used them for overnight, I would double them up nicely and then use an additional cover over them to contain everything inside. Then I found a better system.
