Tori Amos anyone????

I just got my ticket in the mail for the Portland show, in December, when Tori comes to town. : :

Anyone else out there catching any of her shows on this tour?

Anyone want to plain old GUSH about her music??

I still can't decide if I am in love with the latest album or not....there are some songs that I really like, some that will maybe grow on me. But, I know that she won't just be playing songs from the album on the tour, and geez, I get to see her perform live!!! Yay!

My family thinks I'm a little *too* excited. :

Cool! I haven't heard the new cd. I do love the compliation cd I have. It had a DVD that came with it. My friend warned me that it would probably not be child friendly, so I put it away so I could watch it when the kiddos weren't around. Now, I can't find it. Bummer.

I haven't heard her new one yet. But the one before I wasn't really taken with. Her others I have loved! But that was then and now I'm married and mothering and life has changed and I'm just not sure I'm into the drama of her music anymore. Maybe I'm getting old? But it was more my singleton music I guess.

I did see her with Alanis about 6 or 7 years ago. It was a great concert! The only bad thing for Tori is that she kinda gets hidden beside her piano whereas Alanis was out there and stole the show!

I haven't heard any of her music since 'From the Choirgirl Hotel", but I have read lots of poor reviews of her last 2 albums. But, it seems like most of the people complain that she is now too happy. They want to hear the pain and drama, I guess. Well, at some point, she is entitled to not be full of angst.

Her latest album has a more pop sound to it, thought, as always, its in the lyrics and her amazing voice. More political undertones in the album than her other ones, I think.

I have been watching lots of her (recent) interviews on youtube in the last few weeks, from this recent tour. I find what she is talking about just so fascinating.

I really was wishy-washy as to if I should even go to a concert, but I decided I had to. I am going alone, partly by choice. I really want to experience her music alone (in a room packed with other people ).

I was given tickets for one of her last tours & it ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like her last two records but truely... I think Tori could belch & fart into the mic & I would love it.

Have fun!!

So...I have just been so curious about something about Tori. Anyone up on their Tori facts?

Does anyone know if she had a 'natural' (unmedicated) childbirth with her daughter? Cesarean? Somewhere in between? With her strong stance on feminism (and humanism!), this is something that is nagging my curiosity in the back of my head lately. Hehe.

You know, I used to really dig her but then I saw her in concert. It was at the Univeristy of Portland - pre-baby (mine) so it had to have been more than 2 years ago. I'm not so into her now. I hope your experience is different!

huge tour! I don't know if she has started playing US cities yet....she won't be in Portland until December, ans she is ending the tour with California shows, I think.
