I just shouted at DD :
then I apologised, and hugged her.
I said that I'm trying really hard, that I'm trying my best to be the best mama in the world.
she said:

I dont want you to be the best mama in the world, just be a good mama for me.

Out of the mouths of babes . . . .

Hugs to you mama. I am a yeller and I am trying to reform. I know the guilt -first hand. But don't our children remind us of how wonderful unconditional love is. . ..

Yeah, I'm there, too, shamefully. I suppose all we can do is try our best and hope our kids are resiliant enough to cope!

Yes! I guess when they tell us, "You're the best!" it's a good thing. : Maybe our efforts are improving.
