practice name

I'm starting up an herbal practice working with women's health issues...general women stuff, fertility, pre-conception, preg, birth, bfing, etc using herbs, homeopathics and nutrition. I'm also going to be selling herbal products for women and children on my website. Anyways....I'm trying to come up with a name for my practice.

Originally I was going to do "a wind in the willow..." as a tribute to my son and my husband (has NOTHING to do with the book but rather with wind and willows) but....i can't because of trademark issues.

So...my next thought was "bleeding heart birth services" becuase I really fell in love with bleeding heart flowers this pregnancy...i look at the flower opening up and to me it just screams birth. but my husband freaked out about having "blood" in the title of my practice, which I get but now i don't know what to name my practice

so...what do you all think? is there a tactful way to use bleeding heart I have a beautiful picture of one that i took was planning on using as part of my labels and bussiness cards and waht not. thanks for any advice

hmmm, what about the latin name of bleeding heart?

Isn't bleeding heart a dicentra....? Anyway, it's a thought.

come to think of it after a few seconds...maybe there is a name for bleeding heart in some language...french, spanish, whatever, that has the meaning you want, plus a sound you like.

I agree with your hubby. My first thought after reading "bleeding heart" wasn't the flower. The flowers are beautiful though, maybe you could still use them with a different title. Flowering Heart or something.

what would appeal to the people you are serving? I am thinking that obscure names will have no meaning to people-- since you are dealing with fertility issues something that relates to the plants you use in that service- or something that "names" what you do-
natural fertility solutions- blossoming motherhood -

maybe just your name like this old one-- Lydia Pinkham's Vegetable Compound- great mythology in my family around this cure for infertility--

there is also - "bleeding heart liberal" and I don't think you are aiming at that- you may want to use the flower as a device symbol but the name has too many associations ---

I don't like Bleeding Heart (although I *love* the flower) because I don't want to think about blood with any of my health needs, so I'm with your dh on that one.

thanks for all of the feedback...i definately agree with all of you and my dh that "bleeding heart" probably isn't the best idea. maybe i'll try and come up with something that isn't related to a specific plant and then be able to use the bleeding heart as my symbol/image. hmm...back to the drawing board i guess. i have a beautiful website designed i just need a name so i can get it up and running!

What about "blessed heart birth services" it would still work with my image without conjuring up thoughts of bleeding heart liberal or blood.
