I have worked as a Hospice, Critical Care and ER nurse. My journal is filled with the hopes and traumas of life. My non nurse friends are always fascinated with the ins/outs and reactions of my encounters. It is not the medical model or the technical aspect that I want to recount but the emotions, reactions and human side of life, family and often death.. all from the perspective of a woman who has made the "art of caring" her life.

Is there a market for this, articles... shorts or take the plunge and compile them into a book.. What do you think?

Yes, Lilac, people would read what you have to say. Whether you get paid for it is another question.

Currently there is a pretty active medical blog-o-sphere. You could probably tap into one of their carnivals if you had a blog.

Google Grunt Doc, he seems to be a hub for a lot of the medical bloggers. Emergiblog is a big one for nurses too.

I would love to read it, LOVE to read it. I was in the hospital and a woman died in the hall way. I have a lot of feelings about that.

I also witnessed a man dying while we all performed CPR on him... not a good situation

I would love to read someone who understand all of the feelings behind that kind of stuff.
