Cost of IUI?

Does anyone have an idea what IUI would cost per cycle using frozen donor sperm? I am in Texas, if that matters. I just need a general idea. Thanks!

My insurance covered 50%. Each time I did a cycle (I did 6) the price was different. The lowest I paid was $75 (so $150) and the highest was about $180 (so $360). No idea why the price varied so much - I did it at the same place each time!!

My sister did IUI's, and had an u/s with each cycle (added about $195 for that), and each cycle cost $500-$800, some with 2 IUI's per cycle.
HTH.

I am not using frozen sperm but my IUIs are not covered by insurance and they are going to be $1000 per time. my meds however are covered by insurance and they only cost $50/month.
good luck!

If I am not pregnant this cycle, I am doing an IUI next month. The combined total for the IUI and one ultrasound is $489.00. We are also using frozen sperm and each vial was right at $400, although the pricing on the sperm will vary depending on what sperm bank you choose to use.

Sperm - $380-$435 (local bank versus CA bank)
IUI - $230
Ultrasound (optional) - $200
Baby - priceless.

Sorry, it begged to be added. Good luck!

our basic IUI which included sperm wash was $480, not including my medications. I think the IUI procedure itself was around $250, if they didn't have to wash and prepare the sperm.

My meds are covered, and my IUI's are not. So if they do a simple wash/prep it's $375 and if they do a complex wash prep is $465. My ultrasounds are all covered so that was just for DH to drop off, they was and insert.

ultrasound= $200 (this seems outrageous to me, considering what they do and how long it takes!)
sperm wash = $125
IUI = $175

Our insurance won't cover infertility TESTING let alone treatment! So I don't yet know if we'll have to go the IUI route...I'm hoping not!

Klink2 I was hoping to ask you since I noticed you're in Portland, same as me...that seems like a fairly reasonable price for the IUI and sperm wash....may I ask who you are seeing and what your experiences have been? You can respond here, or feel free to email me airmide_m@yahoo.com since my PM box is always overflowing hehe. I've been bouncing around a lot of docs in Portland trying to figure things out though I haven't gone to an R.E. or anything yet, cause of our insurance hoping to keep the "infertility" diagnosis at bay till we've tried to get things covered in other ways (thinking scrotal pain, very low quantity sometimes, hypothyroid and lots of hormone imbalance symptoms, all of which I *think* relate to things other than just infertility)

Anyway sorry for the somewhat hijack and thanks so much for this great info!

I guess this can very a lot. I am going to Dartmouth Hitchcock in New Hampshire.

Sperm Isolation and prep $254
IUI $347
--------------------------Total $601

With trigger shot and u/s total $1,131

It says if you are using donor sperm the cost is not quoted but there is a $350 administration fee for the donor program and the vials cost $235-$265 each.
