What books are you reading? - Page 2

I've been reading the Alex Cross series by James Patterson. But, I'm finding that suspense novels before bedtime aren't working out well for me.

I just scanned the ACOG pregnancy and birth book that a friend loaned to me. Ugh! What a horrible book. Don't recommend it.

I gotta get to the library and pick up something different to read.

The Omnivore's Dilemma is a long, detailed read. The information is very good, but I was only able to make it through about 1/3 of the book before it was due back at the library, and I couldn't renew it because there was a waiting list. However, I did skim the rest of the book and read pieces here and there.

Animal, Vegetable, Miracle is a much quicker read, and IMO more enjoyable, kind of like a fluffier version of The Omnivore's Dilemma. The recipes in it were amazing, and you can get them at the website.
