a note of appreciation

I just wanted to take the time to tell all of you how much I appreciate what a wonderful and supportive board this has been. On so many of the other boards on this site, everyone gets very snippy and nasty to each other. The women in this due date club have done such a great job of being respectful and compassionate to each other, even when we disagree. Its really been a fabulous experience being a part of this group!

: I agree- this board has been great. I used to belong to one of the more "mainstream" websites and all they talk about is formula, huggies, etc- it is so nice to be around mamas who know about slings and co-sleeping and stuff.

I love it here.

ETA: please note: I am not dissing anyone here who is using huggies for formula!

I agree 100%. I love this DDC!!! I would have been in the last May ddc if I hadn't miscarried, but you guys are so wonderful, I'm glad I'm with you all.

(don't worry, I didn't take offense on the Huggies comment, even tho we will use.. I don't like them either.. buuuuuutttttt.. one of those "doing the best I can" situations)

Joining the group hug!

I was just telling my husband the other night how glad I was to have joined in the conversations here.... aside from everyone being down to earth and concerned with the same things I am, the community is small enough to feel like we really know each other.

I agree. I was in yahoo groups with my last two pregnancies, and really felt distant from so many of the mama's, they had such different parenting views, and discussing more natural options wasn't ok there at all. I love that we've had all sorts of topics come up, and all ways of doing things are ok here

I agree! Thanks, everybody, for being so wonderfully supportive. I am too scared to stay on some of the other forums for long bc people can be so mean. But not here, thank goodness!

I know! And I am really protective of oDDC and the mamas within. I'm SO grateful to have this lil club full of wonderful mamas. I would have never thought it could be so wonderful.

I have to agree

I don't post much anywhere else on these forums because people can be a bit....er, passionate about their beliefs! LOL
And I really appreciate that we can all share our thoughts, and even if we differ-we don't get jumped upon verbally.

I really love our DDC.

I feel peace here.... thank you all so much. I can come and share my dark fears or just my bad days and moments and someone here will listen. Sometimes thats all we need, someone to listen. I have a temper when pregnant I have found, parts of me like to fight even, but here I try and listen and give support. Maybe because here I do not feel alone. So many different situations but all of them have so much in common.

Here I can say all those not common things, like homeschooling and peaceful parenting and cloth diapers and medical choices and not only do others understand, but if they do not agree, they do not try to hurt me for not believeing as they do.

Sure some of you have had to give me the facts in a hard tone, but I have needed it. Thus I trust that if I go nuts, someone here will notice. LOL If I can not always be strong, at least I can come here and see others that are. It helps.

Anyway, your amazing mamas and I am adore you all!

Blessings,
Kimmy
