Owen Wilson is at St. John's in Santa Monica recuperating from slashed wrists and drug overdose. His two brothers are with him.

I hope he makes a full recovery - it's sad to think that someone who can make millions of people laugh can have reason to attempt suicide.

We were so bummed to hear this too. The kids and I love his work. I really hope he can make a full recovery, physically and otherwise. I am so glad he has family with them.

actually, it has not been confirmed that this was a "suicide attempt." the sources are with Star and similar tabloid news outlets that are not very reliable.

it has been confirmed that it was an 'incident' from which he is recovering.

though either way, i feel really sorry for him. injury or suicide, it's sad.

I'm glad he's okay. I also read there is speculation it's a cover-up for a heroin addiction. If that's the case, I hope he is able to kick it, that's an evil drug.

I guess I always picture him as being the kind of guy he always plays in movies...happy-go- lucky. Its easy to forget that heś a ¨real person¨ too, not the characters he plays.

TMZ is reporting that he had an arguement with a close friend that may have pushed him over the edge and that a family member discovered him in his home. If it was a suicide attempt then I hope that he gets the help that he needs. Suicide has affected my family and even a failed attempt is a horrible experience for the individual as well as the family and friends.
