Good luck, sounds like a great school for them and I know they will do well!

Me and dh both work and we are both full time students so I KNOW how hard it is and stressful at times trying to homeschooling while doing all that. We might consider school in a few years for our girls when I go for my Nurse Practitioner degree in a year or two.

Good luck! What a huge change! How old are your children? What grades will they be entering?

Best wishes.

With our homeschooling, we take it one year at at a time so I don't know where the future will take us.
You gave them a wonderful foundation that they can build on.

I have learned over the years to never say never! to always keep an open mind. different seasons in ones life requires different sacrifices and adjustments. I have homeschooled, unschooled, private schooled, charter schooled and public schooled! Right now I have some in public school, trying to figure out how to afford a montessori or waldorf for my son, and one in charter school. It's odd, sometimes stressful, but it works for us.

we too, realized that we would both have to work to make our life work smoothly. just having 5 kids adds a financial burden, then add housing costs, and medical costs (over 12,000-15,000 this year alone) and it doesn't make sense for me not to work (part time usually).

good luck! it will be a big transition, but really kids are amazing, they adapt usually much better than us adults.

I just wanted to give a ig thanks for the support!
My boys will be going into 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades. They are all in the same school, which is just across the street from our house.
My oldest has Asperger syndrome, so we are a bit concerned how he will do. We are giving it a 3 month trial run and if he is miserable, we will pull him out, dh will take his classes online and our ds will homeschool. I am not too worried about the younger two, they thrive on order and structure, and I have had to talk both of them OUT of school for years. lol
It is interesting. Our school district has just started offering homeschool classes and there is an online K12 program here. This year a lot of families from my homeschool group are either doing one of these programs or putting their kids into school. It seems like the more mainstream homeschool becomes, the more blurry the lines between it and out of home schooling become.
