montessori and vaccines

Does anybody know if montessori schools are flexible with vaccinations?

What are the exemption laws in your state like? That's more likely to be the deciding factor.

I think it depends on the school. Dd's Montessori forms came with a form that asked us to fill out our info for not vaxing. They gave us a choice. Check with your school.

I'm worried about this exact thing. DD is partially vaccinated - I let them do her as scheduled until she was 9 months old at which point I freaked out and called a halt to it. So I'm not sure if I can get away with the religious exemption (can I claim a sudden conversion ?).

I let the dr. fill out the forms and am figuring I'll deal with whatever the school says when we turn 'em in next week. But I'd be grateful for any advice about how to handle it.

We had to submit current records showing up to date immunizations according to the state requirements for a day care setting. (I have no idea what they are) My DS1 had to be boostered when he went to public Kindergarten last year (I was appalled that Prevnar was *required*!) and DS2 is only 3 so he has not had any shots since he was 2. (Although I have already told dh I am not sure I will consent to them when the time comes for his boosters. I was vax ignorant when I had my first son, and followed the books with his schedule, consenting to every single one. I often wonder if his Asperger-esk problems stem from them)

I will say though, that I couldnt get an appointment before school starts, and the director said no problem, that the medical information was the least important piece of information they required. I have a feeling it would be fairly easy to get an exemption.
