Obsessed and attached to keys...

Hi everyone,
My 5 yr old ds starts kindergarten this week, and he's excited, I'm worried though. He only wants to go if he can keep his keys in his pocket, and I'm afraid that the school/teacher won't let him. I know each school has their own policy but has anyone have any suggestions When I mentioned that he might have to keep them in his school bag he said fine as long as he could bring his school bag into class with him, when I said that might not be an option he said he's not going!!!! He's very seriously attached! Its a huge collection of keys with keychains too! :

Maybe see if he would be willing to just take one key. That way it doesn't make too much noise and it could easily fit in his pocket. And take his keys in the car so when you go pick him up he can have them right away.

Let him pick out his favorite 2-3 & put them on a new keychain. It will need to be long enough so that the ring can go through one of the belt loops though. The only reason the school wouldn't want keys in a pocket is in case them lose them. In that case getting a chain so he can keep 1 or 2 on there & wear under his shirts may be better.
