boy oh boy!

After two girls, we finally have an xy!!!! I joked with my dh that I thought he could only throw double x's I totally was expecting a boy...his heart rate has been around 140 every appt, whereas with my girls, theirs were always 160-170. But dh refused to believe me, claiming that he only had girl sperm. Well, he was wrong! Plus, I've been way sicker than I was with either of my girls.

I'm so excited, and I know that my mom and mil have probably already bought him enough boy clothes to last until he's twelve years old! Does anybody else know what they're having yet? I'm due 02/02, so I found out really early.

I'm due 2/03 and we'll be finding out on Sept. 11. Heartrate was 150 at 12 weeks and then down to about 140 at 16 weeks. I'm thinking boy.

Congrats to all of you!!!!!!!!!!! Having a little boy is wonderful and I woudn't change a thing
We're not going to find out the sex....I love suprise and all the predictions, ~ EVERYONE thought Jack was a girl, but I knew I was having a boy ~ I had dreams of him throughout my pregnacy. I haven't had a dream with this one, but dp and I are both saying girl...so who knows!
Just wanted to give all of you a friendly nudge toward the CAC board on mothering (Case against Circumcision) if you haven't already visited ~ it's an absoulte weath of knowleged and really helped me when it came to talking with dp and family about the decision to leave ds intact.

Congrats again!!!

I saw a penis at the 12 week ultrasound, but I know that there is a chance that I could possibly be having a girl. Either way, I'll be thrilled! I won't be getting my ultrasound until 10/02 I have to wait until 21 weeks because my OB is on vacation the week before (and they wouldn't let me have an earlier appointment). So, I gotta wait until flippin' October to see my little baby again!

i've known from conception that this babe is a boy. i was hoping for a girl. i had a us at 12 wks to date this pg (for several reasons: nursing, maternity leave etc) and the tech said "i think i know what it is" and i said a boy right, yeah i've known for weeks now. i really hope my intuition is wrong.

i wanted a boy with dd, got her and now the babes will be 25 mo apart. it would be a lot easier if #2 is a girl.

oh, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

I'm still hoping for a girl this time, but I wanted to join in as the mother of a teenaged son and say that one of the best things about boys is their delayed puberty; I think of the ages of about 9-13 as the "golden age" for boys. Girls can be a hormonal mess at that age (I know I was and so was my big dd) but boys have chemically stable brains and have gained enough maturity to have knowledge and opinions and interests in a wide variety of fascinating "adult" intellectual pursuits. They are energetic and wonderful people! The boy I tutor, at the age of thirteen, may be taller than me and have a man's voice, but he's still so sweet and generous with hugs and compliments just like a child. Preteen and young teen boys can be very loyal and tall enough and strong enough to be a genuine help around the house and with any job that requires a fair amount of muscle power.

Congratulations on your little son. You have so much to look forward to through the years.

We have a sono on Wed. Sep 5th. I have 3 little girls right now ages 5,3, & 18 mo. Their heart rates were always 160's to 170's This little bean is staying in the 150's. It's funny that all of you have found out your having boys and I bet I will be the first to post that it's another girl. Just 4 more days and counting. I don't have a preference. Don't think I would know what to do with a boy, but it would be an interesting new adventure. I am so excited about seeing this little baby bean in there. It's nice to be feeling the movements. Lets me know it's all ok.
