How much weight does everyone have to lose? - Page 2

mamamoo: 11 lbs! holy kamoly! go you! congrats also to walden's mama!

i finally worked up the nerve to step on the scale today and was shocked to see that I am only 3 lbs. above my pre-pregnancy weight: I made DH check the scale because I didn't believe it. I am not sure I am the same SHAPE though. And note that I got pregnant at my highest weight ever. Still, I am pretty darn pleased with myself. I am 2 weeks post-partum and I haven't been restricting calories at all -- in fact, I am keeping up that daily ice cream habit. :

I got pregnant at my highest weight ever too, 117lbs.

I am now 17 lbs higher than that.

I figure i lost some muscle mass during pregnancy from being less active, but I also gained some because of having to carry around 50 extra lbs for a while. I guess that should cancel out.

I figure i am not going to go down to my pre-pregnancy weight, because I have a lot more breast than before. I am thinking around 125 is where I will probably settle.

DH doesn't believe I weight 17 lbs more than pre-pregnancy, because he says my body mostly looks like it did before. I can see that I have some in the belly still to get rid of. Also, my waist still hasn't re-appeared. I still have so much meat on the sides, that instead of having wide hips and a narrow waist, I am straight on the sides.

I want to wait until my abdominal muscles are back in the right place, and then I will go back to my Core Rhythms exercise DVDs.

Also, my MW said to do Kegels. I find that they are much harder to do than before. I explored that area with my fingers the other day, and it was creepy how different it is. The "ceiling" of my vagina (from the perspective of if I was laying on my back) is hanging down low. I guess that is what the Kegels will help. Also, it used to be that I could barely reach my cervix with my fingers as far in as i could get them. Now I only have one in to the first knuckle and it is right there.

I am so glad to read this. I checked myself yesterday for the first time and it felt the same way you described. I have never even been able to reach in and find my cervix at all! I was worried that maybe something was "broken".

As for weight - I'm still losing (down 22, 10 to go) but yesterday my dh was asking ds1 if he noticed how much weight I lost and how nice I look. That made me feel good. He can never compliment directly, but at least he said it

127 prepreggers
161 just before delivery (34lbs gained)
139 now - 12 to lose

I really, *really* want to lose 5-7 more soon so I can fit into some of my non-maternity pants. As far as tops, my boobs never went down from nursing DS, so I have given up on wearing anything other than knits.

I gained 31 pounds but started losing weight at the end...

I haven't been on a scale yet. I figure between baby and placenta and fluid and blood I lost @15 pounds at birth. My belly id 80% gone.

i gained 34 with this pregnancy.....i have yet to step on a scale (why depress myself even more) but i know i have lost some weight, i go for my pp checkup this week so we will see how things are looking then!

Pre preg: 128
Before birth: 145
After birth: 130

Basically I need to lose two pounds after having just had the babe...but he was hefty at 9lbs. And right now, all the weight in on my chest which I lose some weight every two hours and gain it in the next two hours!

How is the progress coming on weight loss?

I started off so good but now it has slowed down. I still have 9 to lose to get to pre-pregnancy. I would rather lose 16 to pre-marriage
This is the first week I didn't lose any so now I know hard work has to start. It seems hard to figure out how much to eat though with breastfeeding. I know my calorie thresholds in my regular body but that wouldn't work now...

I haven't stepped on a scale since a week before I delivered!

My pre-pregnancy weight was 144 lbs (heaviest EVER by far!), and I gained about 30 lbs this pregnancy. I'd like to be around 120 lbs, which would be ideal for me. I'd be content with 130 lbs throughout breastfeeding though (all that water weight).

I'm going to start exercising next week again. I can't wait to get back to looking like I used to!

I gained about 50lbs (yikes) for this pregnancy and at 2 days I lost only 10lbs....I had a 10lb baby!! What happend to the fluid and placenta?! Grr. And even 4 weeks later, still only 10lbs.

So that means I've got 40lbs to lose, then the "extra" 40 I had before the pregnancy.... NO ONE would ever believe I did long distance tri's 3 yrs ago.

I gained 50lbs this pregnancy. Ack
At 15 days PP I have lost 24 lbs, which leaves 26 lbs to lose. I love to lose another 5-10lbs on top of that, but I am not counting on it since I was at my pre-preggo weight for about 4 years.

Yeah, me too! Not fitting into anything much right now, other than a few odds and ends of maternity wear that were called "now and then". (Early pregnancy and postpartum) I"m glad I bought them now!

Anyone else having trouble finding clothes to fit?
I only last week tried to wear one pre-pregnancy skirt, which is tight but fits, and one shirt, which doesn't fit over my boobs anymore (it was a close fit before). I also tried a sweater, and that worked.

I have no idea how much I gained in total. Didn't get weighed for the last couple of weeks...

But, I had a 4 week pp checkup yesterday, and I'm only 15 lbs. over pre-preg weight. So, I feel like that is totally attainable! Then once I hit that goal, I'd like to take it down another 5.

I don't plan on getting obsessed about it, but would like to see my waist again!
I'm down to 130...I figure I will probably lose another 5-10.
I gained 9 lb. Since the day of delivery I've lost 30! So I came out down 21 lb! But I'd still like to lose another 25 to be back at my running weight. Of course, these J cup tatas don't help!

I'm already back in my "skinny" clothes 3 wks pp!
I was 128 when I found out I was preggo
174 before delivery
154 a couple days ago

I hoping to get back to 130 range soon.I'm no where near fitting into my regular clothes
post #40 of 62
Ugh.

I weigh between 105 and 110 normally...
At the end of my pregnancy I weighed 148 or so

I now weigh about 126-128.....and I have been stuck at this weight since about a week after she was born. I am starting to get VERY sick of the same old pair of maternity jeans (yes, I am STILL in maternity jeans : ) , but they are the only thing that fits me. It is going to get hard now that a new season is coming..and i REFUSE to buy bigger clothes (except shirts..I will buy them for my larger chest..but nothing more).

I also have a wedding that I am in 4 weeks from now...and I HAVE to lose the weight by then...maybe I will look into this weight watchers nursing moms thing..someone mentioned. Hmm..
