Wouldn't it be nice if Nourishing Traditions came in hardcover?

It's a book that gets used constantly, and the paper binding just isn't holding up. Does anyone know if it's ever been released in hardcover (or spiral binding!) and if not, shall we petition Sally's publisher to do so?

There is a hardback version that comes with a cd.

I wish I had seen the hardcover one as well....mine's been through the ringer.

It'd be nice if all cookbooks( or any book for that matter) came fully laminated. I seem to ruin mine.

I like wide margins for making notes.

One thing that bothers me with NT is the running commentary and recipes on the same page.....almost like a recipe book sandwiched in the middle of an information book. My brain doesn't think like that. I find it much easier to read several pages of info then have pages of just recipes .....or only tiny notes that relate directly to the recipe on the page.

How funny! That's one of the things I like the best about it!

ITA. I hated having to skim through all the recipe pages to be able to read all the "meat" of the book. I'd rather learn the principles and then separately find recipes that work for my family.

I laminated (with clear contact paper) many of my softcover books that get a lot of use. And my favorite recipe book is falling apart, so we're typing up our favorite recipes, printing them out, and putting them in laminated sheets in a looseleaf binder.

I would love spiral bound!! I hate when cookbooks dont lay flat and then close up while you are trying to cook

i've been meaning to do this but it's time consuming.

i hate that all of my cookbooks get gook on them and ITA about the book closing on you when you're cooking!
