CLO for my baby?

I just bought our second batch of CLO. We were using Garden of Life, recommended by WAP foundation. However, the store was out. I got nordic naturals arctic cod liver oil.

First question....

It has synthetic Vit E in it...is that safe for my 20 month old.

Second question....

Should my husband and I be taking 2 teaspoons and my daughter 1 or .5?

Anyway, if this isn't the right kind for my daughter do you all recommend Carlson's or Nordic's children's CLO?

Thanks!

No, Blue Ice or Radiant Life, only available online are the high vitamin CLOs to take.

She should take 1/2 teasp. of that for 5,000 IU of A and 500 of D. You can take as much as you want, up to several tablespoons depending on health issues and vitamin A and D content of rest of diet. If you eat liver reguarly, a couple teaspoons should be sufficient.

Garden of Life is recommended by WAPF but it is low in vitamin D. Depending on where you live this could not be good. If you live far from equator, recent studies have should you may need around 4,000 IU of D during winter or even in summer if you don't full body suntan regularly. In fact, people in Hawaii have tested low in D!!

I don't think Nordic Naturals CLO is bad, it just doesn't have high levels of vitamins A & D. But you'll still get the benefits of the A & D it does have, as well as the fatty acids. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to take a double dose to get more A & D out of it, and then switch to something like Blue Ice CLO after that Oh, and the vitamin E is added as an antioxidant...I think all forms of CLO have some sort of added antioxidant. It's probably not synthetic, though (actually I'm not sure they make synthetic vitamin E--most of it is soy derived).
