I'm going to be pregnant forever! - Page 2

as a first time mom, my mw told me it was pretty unusual to see such a favorable cervix at 38 weeks.

so now we're just waiting, but i'm so uncomfortable! my sciatic and my pubic bone are KILLIN' me. i mean, rolling over in bed hurts so much as does readjusting my position on the couch. chiro and stretches don't help much anymore as baby's at 0.... so we're just waiting.

i'm due in a week. the thought of going overdue is a miserable one. but it's one that i'm trying to come to terms with even though i've been showing signs of labor for the past week.

I was induced at 41w 2days :. I stopped answering my phone. People kept calling to ask "did you have the baby yet?" : Yeah we just didn't tell YOU!!
Anyway... DP and I used that time to enjoy each other. We spent time talking about the big changes in our life. We completed some things around the house that needed to be done and we RESTED. It was wonderful to take long naps and just stay in bed for a while. Because you know there will be NO time to do that shortly.
The midwife change the perspective for me, she said "think of it as a compliment, your baby must be very comfortable. Would you want to leave?"
Enjoy your quiet time!!!

Also a first timer here, but still feeling like this is going to go on forever as well. Does anyone has experience with a baby in the ROT position? At 32 weeks the baby was OA, by 36 weeks it switched to ROT and has stayed there ever since. I've been following everything on spinning babies, done yoga a few times a week, but this baby has settled firmly against my right side and is NOT moving. I have a feeling this has something to do with my contractions stopping and the baby staying up higher. I feel like all I have left is hoping for labor to turn the baby to a more favorable position

no clue if the baby being on the right side is why they are higher up or not. you can read some about it on spinning babies.

this is what it says

When the baby is on the woman's right side, especially for first time mothers, the head is more often posterior than anterior. The posterior head fits less well through the pelvis.

did you try the inversion? a friend of mine did it and she said she immediately felt the baby move out of position and into the correct position and then that night she went into labor i think.

I've done inversions, cat/cow poses, sleeping on left side, watching my posture...you name it. No matter what I do he/she will not budge, I'm just trying to keep at it every day and see if it makes a difference. I'm going to try doing another inversion tonight when the baby is more active and see what that does.
