what is the difference between front and side snap

i know it sounds obvious, but does anyone have any pictures of each so i can visualize it? and which works better for u..

i want to sew some dipes so i want to figure out what the instructions are telling me. .i just cant picture the side-snap :

can anyone send links to some pics of each

I don't have pics, but basically a dipe is shaped so that the back "wings" are longer than the front ones. On a front closure dipe, the back wings come around the sides and fasten on top of the front so the wings are showing on top. With a side closure, the back wings come around the sides but the front fastens on top with the wings underneath. You can see the difference by taking most dipes and folding them up either way. The main difference is how you apply your fasteners. I hope that helps

My son is skinny and side snap always fit him better.
