is this 'legal'?

Thread Starter
someone posted a website about how to make a ____ (it's a diaper that is patented)..is that legal ?

it *does* make it clear on the site that it is only to be used for personal use and not to be sold..

so my next question..what if i made some and sold to ppl that i know..i mean, not make a huge business out of it , but sell to some friends that i know use cloth diapers..is that legal? the diaper i want to make uses snaps, i want to use aplix..does that change it enough for there to be no issue with copying a patented product??
( i cant think of the words i want to use...hope this makes sense)

regardless, for now i just want to make some for use withdd..that's ok right?

I am not sure but I have a few patterns that say you can't sell more than 10 of the item without paying a royalty fee.

I'm pretty sure I know what site you're talking about, that was one that I first looked at. It's been there for over a year that I know of and I'm sure longer than that so I guess if nobody has made an issue of it by now they aren't (knock on wood).
As long as you only sold to friends not as a business per se but as a "favor" and didn't market them then I'd say "who would know?" KWIM
Officially, it's not legal to sell them as a business as the site stated...
Enjoy your diaper making,
Ann

As long as none of us turn you in you'll be okay! LOL

I dont think it'd be a problem unless you set up shop, opened a website and started selling the diapers using the pattern.

I'm pretty sure I know which site you're talking about as well, and I'd be very careful about selling copies of that particular dipe, as the owner seems pretty enamored with her new patent and the priveledges it brings.
