So, I had my second u/s today, we saw a happy healthy bean and heartbeat and all that jazz.

However, they pushed me a week back due to the size of the bean. Which wouldnt matter at all, except for the fact that my husband left (he is a Marine) the day after we conceived (I know the exact day) and we obviously havent "cuddled" since. Sooo........I guess I have been having secret sexy dates with other men I dont know about. Hope he is cute......and rich. Oh, and that my husband understands.....

Early u/s can be up to 5-7 days off. I would make sure your careprovider knows when you think you conceived. A week could make a huge difference if you are someone who's babies go late.

Why would they do that if you know when you conceived? The baby probably just implanted a few days late. I remember with my first pregnancy, the baby was measuring like 6 - 7 days behind and I told my doctor that I knew when we conceived and he said, "Well...you would know more than I would!" And he kept the due date the same, based on what I told him.

Remember that just b/c you had sex on a said date it does not mean you conceived that day...sperm can hang out for 5 or so days...this is my case this PG...I had sex on a sat trying to gear up and rejuvenate the sperm supply for when I was due to O later that week...well when I Oed on Thursday, DH and I never got around to it...I'm not 8 weeks PG...

Well, if you think you might go long, you'd prefer a later due date, as they're less likely to start tapping their feet when you miss it. ;-)

If, OTOH, you think you might go early, you want the earlier due date so they get less hyper about risks.

If you're doing an HB and it's nothing fancy like a VBAC or whatever, though, it probably doesn't matter when they *say* you're due!

Well, I triggered with an HCG shot on the 26th and had an IUI on the 27 and 28th when they confirmed by u/s that I had ovulated. DH left on the 30th.

I know its no big deal, I just think its funny. They didnt change my due date because they said it had to be three weeks off to do that? Who knows.....
