Get rid of the sposies so she doesn't have the option?

:
Seriously, though, is she fastening the cover too tight maybe? Red marks on the back & legs aren't a problem unless the skin below the red mark is turning white or blue from low bloodflow. Because the elastic is encased in fabric, it won't hurt them and isn't as uncomfortable as exposed elastic. Think of the marks that are left on *your* skin from elastic waistbands or lines from folds on pillowcases. They don't hurt and go away quickly.
So far as the "more fussy in cloth"--again, is she fastening the cover too tight? Or not changing the dipe as frequently as she should (people who are used to sposies often leave baby in a wet diaper longer than they should, because they're used to the "stay-dry", super-absorbent (chemical-laden) disposables only "needing" changed every 4 to 6 hours.) He might be "more fussy" because he has wet and can feel the wetness, whereas the disposables feel dry even when they're totally soaked.
Hate to say it, but it sounds like a "non-confrontational" way to get out of using the CDs.
Hope you find a solution!
