Free Knit Wool Soaker Wrap from Lion Brand Yarn

Lion Brand Yarn has a felted night-time soaker pattern for free on their website. You have to register, which is free, but then you get access to tons of free crochet and knit patterns.

The wrap was apparently designed by request of some daddies who don't like trying to maneuver little legs into shorties/longies.

The skill level is labeled as EASY and has sizes for newborns, 0-6 months and 6-12 months.

I made one of these, but I didn't felt it and I don't like their idea with the little buttons and not sure about how/if I want to do the velcro... anyone have any other ideas for strapping it on? I was considering doing some sort of tie but I'm not sure I wanna tie it every time I put it on.... Think I could use a snappi? Something else?
