TMI re: bowel movements

I'm so embarassed to ask this, but when I have a BM I feel like my uterus is going to fall out, then I'm really sore afterwards. Is this normal? (I'm thinking no...) Has anyone else ever felt like this? Will it go away?

I'm 2.5 weeks PP.

I have alot of pain as well. I remember having the same pain with ds1 and with him it lasted a long time. I am still not back to "normal" yet but at 3 weeks it seems to be a little bit less.

i take a stool softner to avoid this problem even though i am not constipated

my mw told me to wrap tp around my hand and put pressure on my uterus and perineum while going bm- it really helped to keep everything supported!

I actually think it is somewhat normal...I have been taking alfalfa to keep things easy to get out.

I feel the same! It scares me so i stop pushing...i've only had 2 bm's since i gave birth 9 days ago...taking stool softner etc, but i still find it hard to go...i'm getting lots of gassy pains too. But also, i went for a long walk today and felt all this pressure...like a baby's head on my cervix (but i'm obviously not preggo anymore). I told my dh i thouht my uterus was gonna fall out of me. It's very weird...i'll ask my mw about it next wed when i go for my 2 week post partum check up.:
