ISO Tried and True, Free Knit Soaker pattern

My husband's grandmother has offered to knit me up some wool soakers, and I'm so thrilled. The thing is that I don't knit, so I'm worried about just pulling a pattern off the net in case the directions aren't clear or the end result isn't good. Anyone have a pattern that they got off the Internet for free that you found easy to understand and were happy with the end result?

It's for my 15 mo old daughter, but she is way little for her age (27 inches and 18 lbs), so I probably need a pattern for a 6 -12 mo size.

TIA!

I like this one a lot: http://community.livejournal.com/pun...rs/110889.html

or there's the aubrey doodlepants pattern, which you can make shorties instead of longies. http://www.thoughtline.com/doodleskn...oughtline.com/

I like this one: http://fernandfaerie.com/freesoakerpattern.html (knit in the round) Especially if your grandmother knows how to do a kitchner stitch so the crotch seam is invisible. I cant get my kitchner stitch to come out right, but its a very popular way of joining pieces, so if she's a good knitter then I bet she can do that np.

This is mine: http://s189.photobucket.com/albums/z...t=DSC00119.jpg
