The "Would you like some cheese with that whine?" Thread - Page 5

When I moved to NL, I learned to make several things from scratch that I used to buy. Cake frosting is one of them (they don't do that here). Homemade tastes a little different, and I have to say knowing exactly what's in it dimmed my desire for it . It's essentially a pack of butter with lots of powdered sugar and a little milk. And food coloring, of course. Lately I've preferred to make a cream cheese variant, replacing the butter with cream cheese.

Just figured I could throw out this tangential random blurb since we're in a chatty thread .

I'm STILL SICK. My throat still hurts, and I had to go home early yesterday. I was walking to go pick up my first afternoon class, and all the sudden just HAD to sit down. I was dizzy and nauseous (had just tried to puke at home but got a big fat upchuck of nothing) and sweaty. My coworkers pretty much kicked me out the door. I got home, and took off my sweater... the shirt I had under it was DRENCHED with sweat.

I'm going back to the clinic today for another strep culture.
