Georgia Evelyn arrived at 6:10 this morning, Aug 31, into her daddy's hands! She weighed 9lbs even and was 21 3/4" long.

It was everything I could have hoped for for my first HB. Labor started at 10:30 pm last night. My contractions slowly got more intense but never got really close together (they stayed 4-7 min apart the whole time). My MW came to camp out with us and by 5:00 I was dilated to 7cm. I decided to get in the jacuzzi tub and my water broke in the tub at 5:30. After that the pressure got very intense. DH and my mom helped me out of the tub. I pushed for about 10 min on hands and knees, then turned over at time of delivery and DH caught her!

We're so happy yet tired, but thrilled to be able to relax in our own home. She's nursing wonderfully and is all we could have hoped for!

Congrats... on your birth.. I'm happy you had a wonderful home birth..

I just noticed our eldest are born on the same day, and yet our new babe's are only a few days apart... How cool.....
