oh jeez, s veganbaby--I would flip if my mom laid a finger on my children! I mean, you can throw that right back at her "well how do they get you to follow the laws of the land mom? does the state trooper give you a good solid whack when he pulls you over for speeding??" esp to spank over something like pinching--that's teaching "might makes right", teaching that if someone hurts you, you shoudl either hurt them back (if they're smaller than you), or lie down and take it (if they're bigger than you). Argh... : nonviolent discipline is a hot button issue for me

I can't believe that she is already 4mths old. She was 4mths on the 26th of Aug. She had her well baby check up last week and she was 13lbs and 9oz 25inches long.(birth 6lbs 4oz 19inches)

What size clothes is baby wearing? Elise is in size 3-6mths now. I just put up her 0-3mths clothes. It makes me so sad how fast she is growing!

((((((((((((((((((((((Honeybee)))))))))))))))))))) I hope going back to work gets easier on you all. I'm sorry you missed her rolling over.

Firemammaof1- Ash is soooooooooooooo very cute!!! Elise still hasn't rolled over either, I've sd I think she is just taking her sweet time w/ it.:

LizzyQ- Your MIL sounds like a gem! What a blessing that she will wear him and take him places like that! I'm glad he is doing so well w/ you being in school! Makes things so much easier on you.

Kristen- I had to laugh at the steroids. Its you SUPER POWER!! Elise also LOVES to stand up all the time. She will get very mad if we sit her down.

Stephine- I hope you can get your dolua cert done soon. But don't stress too much it will get done.

As far as naps Elise is still sleeping a LOT. She sleeps about 5-9 hrs a night then will be up for about 1-2 hrs then back out for another hr or so. Some days she will sleep for only about 15mins at a time but thats not too often thank goodness b/c she is GRUMPY when she does this.

Vanessa- Emma is so cute! I love love those BIG toothless grins!

Elise has taken to SCREAMING TOO!! Its pretty funny! Yesterday we were out and my middle dd had to go potty and Elise was yelling in the bathroom and cracking up! She had everyone in the bathroom laughing w/ her.

I was going to try to respond to everyone but Elise is starting to wake up so I'll have to finish later.

My DH gets mad if I try to put him in DD's crib heehee

Don't worry, I know that's a typo, but someone caught me talking about nursing DH on my right boob when I totally meant to type DD so I had to pass it on

LOL! That just makes me laugh--BTDT. Hi, I think I have posted here before, and kdtmom2be keeps inviting me to join in the fun, so here I am...

Currently I am an unwilling member of the crappy sleepers club. Hannah will. not. sleep. I feel better reading all of your responses to how long your LO's nap. I have read somewhere that they're supposed to have about 4 hours in naps total and Hannah is nowhere near that. She giggles and is good natured most of the time, but I also know she's exhausted. Tonight she lasted until about 6 before crashing, it's now 7:30, and I have tended to her twice already. : : :

Looking forward to getting to know you all better! As for CD's, I LOVE my Bumgenius 2.0's They're by far my fave one-size pocket diaper. I think they're bomb-proof! I've also got some Kissaluvs fitted (loved the size 0's when she was tiny!!) with some BSWW's and made some of Rita's Rump Pockets, (Google 'em for a pattern, or look in the stickies in the diapermaking forum!) and they work pretty well too.

Oh goodness you ladies are soo silly! So am I these days... must be a side-effect of that no sleep waking every 2 hours to nurse thing....

Well I am so excited I just had to share- I just tuned into the trading post here @ MDC over the last few days and I think I have finally found a socially responsible outlet for my serious need to purge our home of stuff and acquire new stuff.

So, if anyone's interested check out my ISO... I got lots to trade!

xo,

Maggie had her 4 month check up today. It was very exciting to see her growth. She was 14 pounds 9 ounces. She went from being in the 3rd % to 75th %. She gained almost 5 pounds in 2 months.

wow, I am so proud of all you CD mamam's. We are doing 7th G disposables. I had every intention on cd but in the end it didn't happen.

My DH took my dd, 2 1/2, out to lunch over the weeked so I could get in a good nap with hudson. When they got back I asked how it went and he said "great except for all the evil looks we got." My amazing AP daughter stopped eating her lunch and pulled down her shirt so she could nurse her baby doll: . When I asked what he did after getting all the evil stares he said " I told her she was doing a great job taking care of her baby" I love my Family.

We have a roller here. Over and over and over. Though we had the same problem at first of rolling over and fussing. He is over it now.

3-6 month clothes though they are getting hard to snap.

Well last night I needed to get some clothes swapped around and to do laundry so John had Maggie and she was super tired and she was not happy that John had her. I can hear Maggie yelling at John every few minutes. So John comes downstairs and he is just standing there watching me do laundry and Maggie is content as can be because she can see me. I asked John why are you down here (he was fixing Liam's computer with Maggie) and John says Maggie made me which is quite funny since she is 4 months old but I heard her and know it to be true. So John leaves and as he is walking down the hallway Maggie says MAMMA! You should have heard her tone. She was mad and it was get your butt over here right now type of tone. John said DID YOU HEAR THAT? and Maggie says it again, MAMMA!. It was so funny. Of course now I am scared 4 months old and already has an attitude. Okay she has always had an attitude. First time she was hospitalized, the nurses nicknamed her drama queen for the facial expressions she would make at them.

It was a good day yesterday with Maggie. John and I were laughing, Maggie had no idea what we were laughing about but decided to join us in laughing which only made John and I laugh harder to hear her laugh.
Did you see my thread about whether or not 3 month olds can talk? Avery has been doing this for about a month and I swear she is trying to say my name.

As for clothing, Avery is fat! No more 0-3 month clothes for her, 3-6 is hit or miss, and I just bought her a bunch of 6-9 onesies and pants yesterday, and even these seem like they aren't going to last more than a month on her. She isn't even 4 months old yet! You'd think I was feeding her steak, eggs, and heavy cream at every meal instead of boobie juice.

I think I figured out how to put in pictures! This is a huge step for me because I am computer impaired.

I thought I heard Hannah say "hello" and "Hannah" the other day, after I said it. I mean, if they can imitate tongue ticking out, why not sounds they see mommy making? DH thought so too!

Hannah is not rolling over yet, did it once, prolly fluke, but today started to exchange giggles with me. SO cute! As for clothes, the 0-3 days are over, no we're into 3-6 month ones. I thought it was b/c of the bulkiness of the diapers, but everyone comments on how long she is too. It's comical to see her in something that doesn't *quite* fit her anymore, she has sort of a french mime look about her with those straight boat neck onesies. It's sad to see some of her cuter stuff go into the bag of stuff to be stored (you know, in case we're insane enough to have another kid!)

And the hair falling out! It drives me crazy! When is that supposed to stop?? Every time I get a chance to have a shower, (You know, when I start to stink really good after 4 days of not showering ) I have a clump of hair the size of a hamster in the drain!

Honeydee, your li'l ones are cuties!!

Aw, thanks!

My hair is falling out all over the place. I feel bad when I wake up in the morning and Avery and dh are tangled up in it.

Kayleigh spent a week or two saying "mum mum mum ummmmumumummm mum mum" which I tried to encourage by repeating "mum mum mum" back to her and now all she says is "aaaaaaaaaaaaggggaaaaaaaaaggaaaaaaaggggg" *sigh*

My hair has driven me to the point of wanting a hair cut.... maybe next Tuesday before the wedding I have to go to.

As far as the haircut--do it! I cut about 9 inches off last week and wooowee! It feels great! Even the cleaning lady was commenting that it made a difference in the housecleaning :

I had a scary moment a while back where I woke up from a nap with Hannah and she had one of my hairs wrapped around two of her fingers so tight, it cut off the circulation in those fingers! I raced around the house trying to find scissors to cut the hair with. All ended well...

I actually had a dream the other night that I had a huge bald spot on my head. Scary.

Trip was stressful. We did get started on ECing S'ang though. Mother spanked my daughter for pinching her. I don't know what kind of message that sends her. I told my mom we don't believe in spakning and she asked, "How do you get her to listen then?"

ECing isn't going great today. I only caught one and missed the rest. We were out and about and that is harder that way if I"m not paying attention to his cues.
: : : :
Oh sweetie, I'm so very sorry that this happened to your precious DD. That is just uncalled for by your Mom. I was told this summer something like this too, but it was "How are they going to teach them to be good kids if you don't spank them!?" This was not 15 mins after I was told that I had really good kids who were very well mannered!?:

Its not too late to start CDing! I didn't start with DS until he was 10 months!

And that's so CUTE about your DD. Seriously, it just warms my heart to think she had her first NIP experience at 2.5. I remember how freaked out I was the first time I NIP with DS. Geez. What a great inspiration of how breastfeeding is normal and healthy. :

Aww s Its weird to loss so much. If I remember correctly, it stops about 2 months after it started - so like 5/6 months PP.

How is everyone doing on the weight loss/exercise? I was having some problems (mostly with chocolate) but I've got DH on board and we are definitely on the upside, supporting each other with eating well.

In other news...I posted a while back that DH had gone for a psych test for the Clark County Fire Department - well he's passed that and moving onto the physical/drug test Friday. Won't have a problem there, so it looks 99% certain that in October, DH is going to be starting the fire academy. Yay!

Except, 16-20 weeks of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. M-F training. Did I mention that he'll have to stay 100 miles away during this time? : I'm trying not to freak out about it just yet. Its still 6 weeks away right?
