I did not see your thread about Avery trying to talk, sorry I missed it. That is so cute that she is trying to say something. Do you think in a few years we will be the ones posting how do I get my lo to be quiet, lol.

Maggie has been very verbal since day one. Not your normal coos babies do but it actually sounds like she is carrying on a conversation with you. Not just with me but with strangers in the grocery store etc. We have had several people comment about this.

Its funny, she now says Mamma all the time and she sees her dad now and says "hey". I am laughing at dh because this is my first child that said mamma first before dadda and the fact that she calls her dad "hey" (he always says HEY instead of hi). I guess its better then our friend's baby. Her dad works long hours and is always gone. He always has on a baseball hat so she calls him "hat".

that is wonderful.

wouldn't even the act of unwrapping the videos be considered exercise? Somthing to ponder.

How are night times going for your little monkeys? I feel like ours have gotten so much worse. I think Berkley prefers to sleep in his bassinette next to the bed, but I usually fall asleep while nursing and then he fidgets and fusses next to me all night long. I remember when he was about 6 weeks old, I would nurse him twice at night, but now it seems like it's 4 or 5 times. I'm wondering if this is just a regular phase that all babies go through.

We seem to have some toothy action going on too. I guess that's probably causing the night time stuff actually.

He's also pushing his butt up in the air when he lays on his tummy. It seems like he could be pushing up his chest within a month! Very exciting.

Berkley is a lot like that. I'll think he needs to go to sleep and spend AGES trying to put him to sleep, then finally lay him on the couch to give my arms a break and Boom! He's giggling, playing with his feet, rolling over... my first baby was NOT like that! It's such a shock to have a baby who consoles himself and prefers to check stuff out on his own agenda.

Anyway as I was just at the point that I would always have a messy house and would hold Maggie forever when I tried my friend's ergo and fell in love. They are pricey but for us it was so worth it.
How do you carry her in the ergo? Legs out? facing you? is she comfortable like that? I have been looking at getting one, but I keep wondering if maybe he's not big enough for it yet?

ok i just have to drop in and brag Claire can scoot herself about a foot forward in 5 min now, on her belly she's been doing the butt-up thing for a week or two now. still hasn't rolled over with purpose tho I'm always so excited to see them getting more mobile!

we made the mistake of trying to bum around in hobby lobby today, but claire didn't like the heat and decided to be loud and cranky to the point of sending us home

We have returned from 3+ weeks of vacation and while I skimmed some, I can not get all caught up! Thought I would subscribe and see if I can get caught up later.

Hey, we wear the same exact size

I have been working out sorta. I bought a gym membership & was going 3-4X per week, but then my van broke down for a few days then Seamus got sick, then I got sick, then Seamus got sick again and that was like 3 and a half weeks of not going . This week I only got to go once.
Here's the good side: I am down to 170. I joined the gym at 180.

I agree. I've had short hair long enough and am sick of the maintainance. I'm ready to rock the ponytail once again. I'm so close. . .yet so far. It will be a few months at least.

...winding down after the end of a long day...

I'm getting too lazy to nak so I spend too much time lurking around here lately. But now the babes are in bed and I really need some "no one needing me - time", so even though I'm pretty tired. I'd at least thought I'd drop in.

It's so fun to see what the older May babies are doing and what we may have coming soon - although I see lots of babies having trouble sleeping... YIKES! I've gotten way too used to my 5-7 hour stretch of sleep, followed by lazy mornings nursing in bed until 9 or 10.

The girls just started laughing about a week ago. It's rare, but oh so magical when it happens. The whole Peter Pan "when the first baby laughed, it broke into a thousand pieces and they all became fairies" idea is very believable when you hear those first baby laughs... loving it.

Even though we've mastered tandem nursing, I still feel like I spend a good majority of my day with someone attached to the boob. Which is fine most days... but then days like today when they both nursed for over an hour together before going to bed, I'm just ready to go crawl into a hole where no one can touch me for a few hours!!! I can't complain though, b/c we've been off of the formula supplements for almost a month though and that's such a fabulous feeling. I'm so thankful for our healthy and successful nursing relationships.

My mom caught a sweet picture of the three of us today. This occurs multiples times in a day - a post tandem nurse nap...

That is the sweetest picture

Glad things are going well, I've been wondering how the twin moms were doing... haven't heard from the other in a while either. I'm sure you're twice as busy as the rest of us at least!! That's great about the formula, but it really is proof that our bodies can provide for any number of babies that our bodies can produce naturally!
