Anyway sorry i havent kept up with you ladies better. I enjoy reading from time to time, you just move so fast.

Zann had open heart on August 22. He is healing nicley. They closed his VSD and the added pressure is opening up the left side of his heart so he will be able to stay on a two pump heart! The pressure in his lungs is also now normal. He is fiinally growing, up to 13 pounds! He was 8 1/2 at birth. He has gained a pound since surgery, he can finally eat now. In fact he is mostly on the breast now and I had to start solids. He ate 50 ounces of EBM in one day so we started foods. He also has two teeth almost through. He rolls both ways, he is just an amazing kiddo.

Oh here is a new slide show http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...t=ef3922ec.pbw
i'm so glad it went well and he is growing so much now!!

Hmmm...Johnny got up early today too it must be "in the air" he not only got up early but when DH and I pretended to stay asleep he started "talking" louder and louder!

We went swimming today and he kept dunking his head and laughing...I love water and want hip to go under a couple times...but man he went crazy - I didn't want to give him a negative feling so I just let him...but hopefully he didn't drink tooooooooooo much!

Ohh...and I must officially be a mom because we started looking into buying a minivan today and I can't think of another vehicle that will meet my needs better....

add KY air to that....The G Force was up by 6:30 no prob. i wanna know

She went for her 4 month WBV on Friday, she is 28 inches long and 16.9 lbs...most of her issues (muscle tone, torticollis, blah blah) have almost completely resolved, our family doc was really pleased with her improvements and we do not have to go back to physical therapy (although we will continue the stretches at home).

She got 2 shots on Fri., the DTaP and Polio...her first ones....I was so nervous, wondering if I was doing the right thing, wondering if I should delay longer, etc....but she took them like a champ. She didn't even fuss, I was shocked. She made up for it later, though...she would not stay asleep until around 4 am....it was a long night. We tried to go to a wedding last night and ended up having to leave the reception after 15 mins...she was just way to upset and we could tell she was not going to settle in. Oh well. So we came home, and then she woke up every 2 hours last night needing lots of help to get back to sleep.

BUT I am so thrilled that I have taken her in public 3 (count em, THREE) times now and worn her in our Zolowear sling, and there has been no wailing or gnashing of teeth. I may get the hang of babywearing yet...AND DH's cousin's wife sent me her Babyhawk in the mail so I could try it out.....it's so cool looking.....

Scout went to bed at 7 PM last night because her nap schedule was all wacky. She woke up once to eat around 2:30 AM and then was up for the day at 4:45 AM! : I tried and tried to lay there while she played and rolled around next to me, thinking she would fall back to sleep. Nope. She decided to get me up by rolling onto her tummy, lifting herself up with her arms, and giving the side of my boob a hickey, trying to find breakfast. She did finally go back to sleep at 10:30 and took a long nap....and so did I. We skipped church because we were both zombies. ETA: I forgot to mention that I'm an idiot and was up until 2 AM doing laundry and playing on the computer, so I was REALLY dragging. Here's hoping ALL of our little April stinkers get plenty of sleep to night and don't wake up so early tomorrow!

Two of my pretty "mainstream" friends are now trying cloth diapers because I inspired them to. Yay! One of them has been using AIO's and pocket dipes on her newborn from day 1 and loves them. The other one has only bought a few cloth diapers for her 4 month old son and has a lot of questions, so she's coming over this week to check out our set-up. I love turning people on to cloth! :

Hi everyone here April Mamas!
I was originally in the March group, but my baby Romea was actually born on April 2nd and this group seems rather active , so I'd like to join you mamas and say hi!
My dd was 9lbs, home VBAC waterbirth, I dilated from 1 cm to 10 in only 1 hr and it was a very empowering experience.
I also have a dd who will be 3 in October.

My life is pretty busy, mostly a SAHM, I'm also working on starting a new Mandarin-Immersion Preschool here in SF.

Hey guys! I have been so busy I forgot to look for a Sept thread! Whew 6 pages already! I'll have to go back and read it sometime. I bet there's some cute baby pics in there I need to see!

Ethan is getting both his bottom teeth. Poor man. He's still such a happy guy, though. It must be hard getting 2 daggers (that's what we call them) at once. He is sitting up on his own pretty well. He rolls everywhere now, and I am getting nervous about leaving him on the bed (surrounded by pillows, of course) for his naps so we set up a pack n play, but he also nurses to sleep and I am scared to move him because he will definitely wake up and cry. I forgot where mobile babies are supposed to take naps!

Here's some pics:
