Pregnant, Progesterone & Breastfeeding

Hi!
I've been around for awhile reading and soaking up wisdom from a lot of you but I have a new question for which I've been unable to find an answer. Here's my situation:
6.1 weeks pregnant
Progesterone is 13 - which is apparently quite low...I know my progesterone was low when I was pregnant with my daughter a few years back. Back then I took a synthetic progesterone (it was before I knew better). This time, Doc prescribed bio-identical plant-derived progesterone which I picked up from a compounding pharmacy last night but haven't yet taken. My question involves my dd, 3, who is still nursing. When I asked the pharmacist she said that amounts have shown up in breastmilk and she suggested I wean her. Just looking for anyone with knowledge or experience in this or a similar situation. Is it safe to continue bf with the progesterone in my system? I would prefer not to wean her and had hopes of bf her straight through to tandem. But I also don't want to lose this pregnancy due to low progesterone when I can possibly prevent that from happening......HELP!

There are so few drugs that necessitate weaning. According to Hale's Medications and Mothers Milk, Progesterone is not in that category. It is listed in the category of L3: moderately safe. :
"The direct effect of progesterone therapy on the nursing infant is generally unknown, but it is believed minimal to none as natural progesterone is poorly bioavailable tot he infant via milk."

He also states the the AAP consider it to be a 'maternal medication usually compatible with breastfeeding'

ditto

I'm taking 600mg/day, it's keeping my prog level at 33, it was 8 at 11 dpo. I'm only nursing dd at night, mainly b/c I'm ready to wean some. My milk has decreased so much she is hardly getting enough to concern with.

Thank you both for taking the time to respond to my question. You definitely helped put my mind at ease. Thanks a bunch!

Just to reinforce;

think about it; if your body were producing the hormone at the desired level, she'd be getting that in your breastmilk, too. So she won't be getting any more than what nature has already intended she get.
