When will my hair stop falling out?

My hair is very long and thick. I hate dealing with the pieces that fall out normally b/c they're so noticeable at this length. I got really excited when I found out I was pg that it would stop, but that hasn't happened yet.

So, if it hasn't happened yet, does that mean it might not stop at all? Or is it a second/third trimester thing?

I probably just need a hair cut. . .

you too? Mine isn't too noticeable (as in more than normal falling out). I don't know why but my hairline looks thinner. Usually you make more hair while pg and then lose it after you have the baby (I didn't until almost 11 months pp with the first and barely at all until about 9 months pp with my second).

It should stop soon, and you'll notice that your nails are getting stronger and growing faster, too. I already have my preggo nails, hehe.

These are hugs to save for the future b/c if you're losing a lot of hair now you're going to think you're going bald after the baby comes. It is terrible. :

I'm 7 weeks and I am just starting to get preggo nails. My hair seems to be falling out a lot still, too. I believe that preggo hair is a combination of hormones and increased blood volume. So once your body is pumping 150% of it's normal blood volume, your scalp can support a lot more hair. So I've heard. I also can't wait for it to stop falling out for a while. It's all over the floor and it is gross. I keep having to vacuum it up.

I always loose hair in early pg. too - it happens again AFTER birth too. *sigh* It should stop soon though!

Mine seems to fall out much more than normal in the beginning (and I lose a lot generally- it's really thick and curly). So I'm waiting patiently for it to stop falling out. Cleaning out the drain in the morning... blech! My nails are already getting stronger though so hopefully soon...

I haven't noticed any difference in my hair but my eyelashes seem to be falling out more? Strange huh?
