Swollen labia??

Could it be a sign of pending labor?


It feels worse than it looks. My labia is really thick and swollen, doesn't look really bad just a little bigger than usual.

I have a really healthy vagina so I assume it's more blood being used down there. I'm trying to google to find out what it all about.
I don't want to call my MW to just talk about my labia.

Anyone have any thoughts or experienced the same thing??

from working with pregnant women i know the answer to this. instead of swelling int he legs, hands, and feet some women have swollen labias. it isnt uncommon i just think women dont really want to talk about it. caution though you might be more tender down below after deliver than if you were not swollen to begin with. swollen tissue can damage more easily. the good thing is is that it isnt anything an ice pack cant fix or ease.

Thanks!! Makes sense. I'm very sensitive down there, today I had an exam and it was really uncomfortable.
