Can anyone lead me in the right direction???

I am currently selling my online biz, but am gearing up to open a b&m store.
This won't be for 3-5 years most likely. I am hoping the lower end, but I am trying to figure out things like where to purchase/lease hardlines stuff, like shelving (most preferrably alot of wood shelving and such)

I would like wooden, against the wall shelving for the perimeter of the store and big tables for folded goods and a couple things for hanging as well.

I'll also need things like an upright all glass front cooler/fridge for beverages for my customers etc

I've looked into www.newood.com but I think you can have the walls done by a local cabinet maker.

I don't know where you live, but since you have such a long time to plan, I would start going to auctions, and searching those little freebie papers w/ adds in them. You can always paint used shelving, or strip all of it. (I have done this before, and it's not that hard, just takes some time ). Alot of times you can go to a "Going out of Business sale" and ask to speak to the owner.

Of course, I live in a very rural part of the US, so maybe where you live there aren't many auctions :

The sale of the business is pending, for the second time....lol...

also check for second hand office furniture stores. You may find some shelving that way too for a good price. This is where we got our file cabinets etc for WAY cheaper then new!

Not sure if this has been covered or not - but I'm thinking you might look into a closing business sale.

The last week they sell all the fixtures, and reclaimed is always better than new, IMO

That said, you might check thrift stores for old wooden bookshelves...those would work nicely as well.
