how to clean paint splatters on baseboard?

We have wooden baseboards that are splattered with paint, from the last time the house was painted (not by us, three years ago). How can I get these splatters off, without ruining the wood?
Looking for natural, or mainstream solutions, I just want to get them CLEAN.
