Awww, shucks.

Until I get my postpartum support work under way, this is my means for helping moms and babies.

There is also a "next step" group forming as a follow-up to this weekend's nurse-in with similar goals.

I know some time has gone by, but wanted to let you know that this group is underway and will be rolling out very soon... Will keep you posted.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but the NY senate and assembly unanimously passed and the Governor signed a law regarding breastfeeding/pumping at work in August.

"The law requires employers to provide time and private space for women to express milk or nurse their children for up to three years following the birth of a child."

Bolding mine.

Update

:
Just want to share that I received a letter today from Rep. John Yarmuth of Kentucky's 3rd district--not even my state, and he said, "Please be assured I will do all I can to see that this bill [HR 2236] moves to the House Floor for a vote."

The letter spoke intelligently about the benefits of breastfeeding for babies, moms and the need to protect our lactation rights.

The BPA is pending in 3 committees right now: Ways and Means, Energy and Commerce and the one I sent letters to per MamaBear's blog: Education and Labor.

Anyone else have any response? And news on how things are looking for this bill?
