What should we charge?

We are starting a homebirth childbirth class in Minnesota. It will be me and one other homebirthing mother who will be leading the class. It will be seven educational classes and one mother blessing class where we will have a potluck and birth stories and birth art and such.

The classes will be two hours long each.

We will provide tea and snacks at every meeting to munch on. We also have to pay for a space.

What should we charge? The Bradley classes are around 300 or so around here.

I'd charge between $200 and $250.

Bradley around here is just over $200 for 12wks. I charge $150 for 8wks of classes including basic breatsfeeding and newborn care.

I don't provide snacks since I mostly do private classes. I've done one group class and I did have stuff at the first class and then water/juice at other classes.

I also don't have to pay for space. Private classes meet in their homes and if I do have a group class I have a meeting space that I don't have to pay for.

I do love your idea to do seven classes and a mother's blessing night!!

WOW.

In Superior, WI Bradley is $500 for 6 weeks. (At least, it was about 3 years ago.)

I always thought that was steep.

Wow! That is steep. I think that we will probably charge 300 for the 8 week series with snacks included and the main course at the potluck and space fees.
