Help, I need to grow a full head of hair?

Okay I shaved my head because I didn't want someone really close to me to feel hopeless. They were going thru chemo. Now that this is over I want me hair back. Is there anyway I can grow my hair back long (w/o hair club for men or rogaine)? The saying is true you don't kow what you got till it's gone. I miss my ponytail It's stuck and just not growing pass this 1/4 of inch.

So is there anything I can do or eat to help speed this up? BTW - I want a full head of my own hair

I have to agree. I think that's completely incredible and you are so awesome for doing that! It brought me to tears that someone would do that for someone else.

Sorry, I don't have any advice, except for what the others have already said.

Good luck!

Increasing blood flow to the scalp helps with hair growth, so scalp massages are great for that.

There are some vitamin supplements you can take that also help have strong hair - some people even take prenatal vitamins. Get plenty of nutrition as the other women said. Dark leafy greens (good for vitamin K and iron) and having plenty of vitamin C (helps absorb more iron) are good. I've noticed if I take vitamin E (you can take a C+E combo) hair and nails are good. Same with some b-vitamins, like b-complex.

Prenatal vitamins

Scalp massage

I hear using shampoo with mint in it stimulates hair growth.

Thanks! I just wanted to find the best way to give my buddy hope. Other than just being there. It's funny that I have not told anyone why I did this but my immediate family. No one asked me about my bald head so I guess they had their own ideas of why I look this way. Frankly, it doesn't matter to me. I just want my ponytail back and I don't want to wait 5 years for it. KWIM!

what a great friend you are!

I just wanted to say that it took about a year and a half for my hair to grow out from shaved to the skin, to about chin length. your hair might seem like it's stuck where it is, but it's growing you just aren't noticing it. before you know it you'll have it back in a pony tail.

i heard shampoo with rosemary stimulates hair growth.

Coconut oil, and yes rosemary oil stimulates growth (both are included in Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut in small quantities).

However, if you decide to use rosemary oil, use it sparingly. It has a tendency to excite and raise heart rates, blood pressure and keep you from going to sleep. Avoid at all costs if you're pregnant, have serious blood pressure issues, or are epileptic.

When my hair was looking pretty bad and I wanted it to grow, I used Folicure Shampoo & conditioner. Not necessarily natural, but from experience, it really worked. I bought it at Sally Beauty Care.

Way to rock the bald head!

I'd love to help you!

That is so incredible of you to do that for your friend. I know of a product that helps hair grow faster and would be glad to send it you free of charge. I can give you the full ingredient list and before and after pictures before if you like. It is natural and botanical and has nanosphers, saw palmetto, horse-tail, yucca extracts, vegetable protiens, and vitamins A, C, and E. Let me know and I will drop it in the mail to you tomorrow.
