Quilters

I want to know if the thread is still working??? Where is everyone???
What happened to our Q----exchange?? New to this and confused???

i am just joining in.

kate, you sound just like my aunt...she has tons of ufo's just waiting to be finished...after quilting most of her adult life, she now has fibromyalgia and cannot quilt. she spends her time researching our family tree now and doing some sort of ancestral scrapbooking!

i would love to talk quilting and think some fabric or block exchanges would be nice if we can get a group together.

how funny! you and my aunt must be twins...got a peggy in that family tree?

you HAVE done a bunch of research to have found that many relatives! wow! my aunt is going strong and we have a history going back a century before immigration. on my husbands side, they have relatives that were part of the famous feuding lily and mann clans.

i also do alot of work and finishing of projects in the winter...the snow makes a nice excuse for staying in the sewing room.

So would this qualify as an undead or zombie post?

I am not opposed to an exchange but do not want to organize it.

Kate has drug me out of the depths of a messy seperation/divorce to answer a post I wrote over 2 years ago. I still quilt but have very little time since I am working 9-12 hour days when the kids are not with me and focussing all of my attention on them when they are.

Kate if you want to set it up I'll try it. I mostly have Asain, 1940's, brights, batiks, non-commercial kids prints. If any of those work with yours lets try it.

p.s. my mom is now 2 years cancer free.

Sorry, Kate. I think the main problem is that the original post was made 2 years ago. At that time, I wanted to participate, but now I can't committ with my business and holiday sewing coming up for family.

I think maybe someone should start a new thread for a spring quilt block exchange if there is someone willing to host it. Depending on due date and number of participants, I might be able to swing something in the spring.

i dont mind hosting, in fact i have hosted at least 20-30 swaps in the last few years and love doing it.
a block exchange might be good for the spring...it would give everyone a chance to sew over the winter as they find time. we could do a monthly fabric swap...just sit in on the months you can and sit out the rest. no committment each month.

i will start a new thread
