I am curious to know everyones experience with certain supplements. basically I am asking you to list what supplement brands you have tried and which worked the best for you. If there is a category I haven't mentioned that you think is worth mentioning please feel free to add it.

When I was pregnant and low on iron at the end, I took Floradix's liquid iron supplement. Here in Germany it's called krauterblutsaft but I know that they export it too and I would imagine it has a different name in English. Anyway, it was incredibly effective and within two weeks my iron levels were actually higher than at the start of my pregnancy.

The other supplement that has been helpful for me is cod liver oil. I've taken both Healthspan and Carlsons. It really cleared my skin - good bye acne and eczema.

At the risk of sounding like a smart Alec, here's my list:

Probiotics: raw milk kefir, homemade raw milk yogurt

Enzymes: raw foods, especially raw meat

CLO: I do give my kids Blue Ice, but honestly I am trying not to give them anything processed and CLO is purified with solvents. I would prefer a CLO that does not come into contact with any chemical, including alcohol and cholrine, or that is heated higher than 96Âş F, from ocean to bottle. Anyone know about Blue Ice, or any of the other brands for that matter? For now I am giving them as many raw eggs as I can get down them disguised in smoothies.

Aloe: straight from the plant, used only when necessary.

Sonne's brand CLO is less refined. I'm not sure about the specifics though.

I think Garden of Life is unheated and filtered a natural way. I don't remember the specifics, but it sounded less processed that other brands (which is why I take it). I think wilderness Family Naturals sells one too, though they were out of it when I was looking to buy.
