How often do you feel babe move?

I am a first time mom-to-be and think babe has settled in....engaged. I am feeling much less movement...and not nearly as strong as before. I can't help but worry, but am really trying not to. Any words of reassurance???

First time mom here too, but I've been experiencing the same thing. I just figured he was running out of room!

I did, however, mention to my midwife that I wasn't feeling nearly as much movement and after trying to wake the baby up with some poking and prodding, she had me do a non-stress test (my first one) just in case. After her pokes and prods and getting all strapped up to the monitor, the baby finally got the hint and starting wiggling. His heartbeat was great and I was having minor contractions and he was responding to those just fine.

All in all, I was glad I mentioned it at my appointment. I did not find the non-stress test to be invasive at all- if anything, it just reassured me that the baby is doing fine. It was actually kind of interesting to see the contractions and heartbeat changes...

I remember feeling this way with DS. I haven't noticed it as much this time.

Towards the end, if I wanted to feel movement I would drink a BIG drink of cold beverage (if I was REALLY freaking out, it would have caffeine in it). It worked like a charm everytime. I never even had to lay down.

That's my hint for the peace of mind.

4th time mom here. Baby has definitely settled in and isn't moving as much as previously. I don't get the big sweeping kicks anymore. I get rolling movements and pressure changes. Every baby has slowed down considerably in the last weeks. If I get concerned I drink something sweet and sit down and can usually get baby to wake up and give me several movements right away.
