Non vaxxers boycott Lysol

Lysol is donating a portion of the proceeds of each product purchased to Every Child By Two "to raise awareness of the critical need for timely immunization and establish a systematic method to ensure the immunization of all of America's children by the age of two." I will not buy Lysol products until they have completed this promotion.

Thanks for the info. I see that the 'Every Child by Two' program is known as the 'Carter/Bumpers Campaign for Early Immunization'.

Sigh. Jimmy and Rosalynn just cannot stop promoting vaccines for every child, can they?

Did anyone else check out the phots? Senator Frist, what a surprise! And how about that prestigious Merck award going to Rosalynn Carter and Betty Bumpers? Gag me.

Lysol is gross anyways. The smell has always made me choke

A couple of drops of the EOs of your choice in a spray bottle with water is much yummier in my opinion. I am currently using grapefruit and peppermint. yum.


Who owns Lysol? I don't think Lysol itself has any products I actually use anyways...

A lot of those products are sold overseas. I do believe that is the Calgon of cloth diapering fame. Reckitt Benckiser also markets No Salt (salt alternative). They sent me some free product coupons when I called and told them Gourmayo tasted like poop and I still have them.

No, I am not kidding. That was its recommended original use.

Oh, poo. Detol is on the list. OK, now I have to go through my cabinets. I prefer vinegar anyway so this just gives me another reason to get away from chemicals.

Another reason I'm glad we stopped using Lysol a long time ago. The smell was bad plus the health food store has better substitutes for Lysol. I don't think we use any of the products/brands on that list.

Lysol as a douche? Sheesh! What next? Lysol as a breath deodorizer?

OH NO!!!! Woolite is on the list.... I LOVE woolite. Bummer. I'll finish the bottle I have but won't buy anymore. Crud. I'll go back to Ivory Flakes I guess.

Lysol spray always brought on a major breathing issue for me. Bothered my asthma.

I need to clean out my cleaning products and replace with vinegar , baking soda and some essentail oils. Invest in a few spray bottles.

I think Calgon is the only product of theirs I buy. And I haven't in over 2 years.

I wonder if they're going to do the same thing here in Canada?

i believe in immunization and im proud of it. god forbid one of your children got a preventable desease and you found out you could have prevented it but now your child will have life long health problems.

jmo, but you should put your children's health first.

Hi Yvonne, welcome to MDC!

You should check out the Vaccination forums here, there is alot of great info/links.
I definitely understand how you feel, I felt the same way until fairly recently.
I've made the very educated decision to no longer vax my children (my daughter had all her vax's through 18 months), and absolutely believe that this is in their best interest. I advocate that all parents be fully informed (not just by the vaccine manufacturers ) on ALL aspects of vaccination, no matter what they end up deciding.

I remember when I used to feel this way. Now that I have researched vaccination I know that I am putting my children's health first by not vaccinating. Exactly what VPD do you think will cause my child lifelong health problems? Do you know how you get Hep B? Do a little research instead of spouting the pharma scare tactics!
