I answered no, because I work out of the home during school hours. I do volunteer for things occasionally when I am able, mostly helping with parties or fieldtrips.

What you do is greatly needed.Even if parents only send in items for parties and special occasions but never physically help out, that is the same as helping out. It's the parents that do absolutely na-da/zero all year long (with no good reason) that make me sad for the child.
There is a lady at my kids current school who has 5 kids total and 3 of her kids are in school and the other 2 are home all day with her. She still has time to volunteer and drags the little ones along with her and in fact last year had 3 little ones since her youngest started kindergarten this year.
Where there's a will there is a way.
