Hello all, the doulas in my community are begining a doula outreach program and we are looking for examples by which to inspire ourselves and model ourselves around. We are curious for those of you who have already acomplished this endevour, how you went about things such as insurance policies, standards of pracitce, hiring of doulas etc. Anyone have any good resources for us to check out?? We'd be greatful to be pointed in any useful dirrections!!! Thank you kindly!!

Google The Center for the Child Bearing Year in Ann Arbor, MI. They have a program that's non-profit for low income mothers called the "Doulas Care" program. It's serves a fairly widespread area (several counties)! I think they may be willing to talk to you.
