WHERE ARE YOU????

I've been out of the loop - Ezri just got out of the NICU this past Friday. I came to check in and was AMAZED at how many of our babies have arrived. : Congratulations to all of you!

I checked in at Life with a Babe and can't find any other September mamas.

Should we start our own thread???

I'm a new mama, but am kinda misplaced.. I'd love to go to Life w/ a Babe, but I don't think anyone is around..

Up until you posted, I've really only seen myself lurking .. I've been following Ezri's story. I was so happy to hear she is out of the NICU and in your arms.. I hope the nursing is still going well.

I know what you mean! This is the first place I came when I logged in - I've check in a few times here and there - but today, with Ezri sitting beside me, I realized "I'm not pregnant anymore!"

I'm anxious to see if all the other "misplaced" mamas who might be lurking too will start to pop up when they see this. It would be nice to hear how all of our little ones are fairing in their first weeks.

Hope all is well with you and your LO! Ezri is nursing like a champ and I'm thinking that within a day or two she won't be taking any more BM by bottle.

I think I'll start a thread over on LWAB and see what happens. See you there!

I just wanted to say that I love the idea of y'all having a thread here. I miss you guys and hate that you are supposed to be on another board completely. Please stay here with us and keep us company! I love to know how your babies are doing and how the nursing and sleeping and all that great newborn stuff is going. Please post here, please!!

Why not start a "moms who've delivered" thread here on the September 2007 DDC? You're still part of the DDC even though you've delivered and it would make it easier for those of us who are waiting to check in on you and your yummy babies. I'm hoping to join you soon, very soon, since I'm due today and having some contractions. (Nothing too serious yet!) I usually go 3-7 days over due so this is a surprise. Anyhow if you made a little nest here on the Sept DDC board we could all go over to the other board sometime in mid October when everyone is delivered. What d'ya think! If not, at least post a link here to the other board. Please!!!

Good idea!!! I put up a thread on LWAB and so far, no one has joined anyway! Plus, this will give those of us who have "crossed over" a chance to keep up with all of you mamas who are ready to pop.

Sending you some labor vibes Waggonerfamily. (BTW - Did you attend one of the Birth Circle Meetings in Temperance, MI with your husband once? A while ago, when you had posted about your husband being hospitalized, I made the connection - my SIL posts on the Toledo tribe thread and mentioned it too and said something about it and I made the connection.)

Yup, that was me and hubby. I have also gone alone a couple of times, too. I love Linda and would love to birth there, but while our insurance will cover some of the birth or even a homebirth with her, we'd have to pay $1-2000, whereas with a hospital birth we pay $0. <sigh> We're planning to birth at St Lukes so we can maybe do a waterbirth. I'm planning to attend birthcircle as much as possible. There is also another Sept DDC mommy on here in Temperance or Monroe (doulamom7). We're also just over the line in Michigan. I'm still here and still pregnant. I had contractions all day yesterday, mild, but getting stronger and different. So I think sometime this week, hopefully soon. I go to the midwives for my appointment today, I've been avoiding being checked, but I'm thinking about it and letting them strip my membranes, but I'm really thinking about just letting things go until next weeks appt. Where did you deliver Ezri? Maybe we can have a Toledo area Sept DDC meetup after Ezri is a bit sturdier and doulamom7 has her baby (I think she's due the end of the month.) Maybe at birthcircle? BTW I love Ezri's blog and her photos. She's a cutie!

Wow! There are four of us in the Sept DDC from the Toledo area!?!?!? How cool is that! We definitely need to meet up after all the babies are born! When are you due Daisie?

I've never been to a birth circle... I always mean to go, though! I had DS with Linda too, however, and I was at last year's reunion. I live quite a bit further north than most of you, but I'm in the Monroe/Toledo area pretty often.

How is your husband doing, waggonerfamily? I haven't been back to Birth Circle - things got going with the pregnancy and I was always too tired, then in the hospital, then on bedrest... Once Ezri is cleared to be out and about more, I'd like to make it up there. Also, I don't know if you decided to start CDing, but they are starting a Toledo group for that.

I had Ezri at Toledo Hospital - didn't have much of a choice since she decided to come early and they have a really good NICU (I think St. V's is the only other one in town). I had seen the high-risk doctors there after we lost Lili so it was nice that they already had my information. It worked out because it's actually the hospital closest to us - only a 7 minute drive. Given the choice, I would love to have had her at Flower Hospital. I've heard wonderful things and have already been a patient there for my Crohn's disease. It would be really great to go to the Birth Center with Linda, but I will always be high-risk because of my Crohn's. Like you, my BCBS of MI won't cover it either - we don't pay a dime if I go to the hospital. I have heard really good things about St. Luke's so I hope you can get there and have the waterbirth you want. Are you using Associates in Women's Health?

Most of my time is spent on the couch upstairs in front of the TV, nursing. Computer time is not a priority now, unfortunately. Babe is sleeping right now, and all else is quiet, but this is the exception, not the rule.
