So, is he really dead, or not?

I think it may depend on exactly how the regeneration power works. If the blood cells can regenerate/replicate *themselves*, yeah. But I'm sort of leaning towards the idea that the blood cells maybe spend themselves when they regenerate tissue/organs. So Claire and Adam (and Peter probably) MAKE blood cells that can regenerate the body parts. Like when you get a blood transfusion, you don't have those exact blood cells for the rest of your life; eventually individual blood cells die.

right, my assumption is you would need a total bone marrow transplant.

Hold up... if Claire can regenerate/Adam doesn't die or age, wouldn't it go to say that their red blood cells wouldn't deteriorate either? and thus wouldn't need to ever be replaced unless they bleed?

It would probably work a lot like white blood cells fighting off infection. That is, the regeneration is a "whole body" effect, not intrinsic at the cellular level. This is supported (implicitly) by the references in Claire's bio class. There are organisms that CAN regenerate their bodies. Technically, it IS possible in humans, it just isn't part of the "active" genes.

Also, (partially off topic) isn't the bone marrow or bones the way that Wolverine (X-men) regenerates?

Sorry, I'm a little late joining; just finished catching up. I think it was Noah who shot Nathan Petrelli since he is back with the company. Also, it would be just the thing for the company to do to make his shoot Claire's bio dad. So, what's up with the break in episodes? Anyone have any information on this? I looked at an episode guide and it said there are supposed to be 23 episodes in this season. I guess I'm behind on the info since living overseas, huh?!!?

There is a writer's strike in Hollywood. There will be no new shows (minus reality shows) until it is resolved.
