Where did you study? What did you like or dislike about the program? Was it easy to find a preceptor? Got any other wonderful bits of info to share? Thanks!

Not a midwife yet but looking at the same stuff. CPM programs can be done online. Midwives College of Utah has some good looking degrees. The master's program I wanted to do is about $18000. If you are a nurse already you can do all of your work online, except the clinicals of course. These are much more expensive though. I am thinking of a second B.S. in nursing- about $15000 and then an online masters in midwifery --probably about $30000. I think the extra work will be well worth it though. Hope this info helps.

I think the difficulty in finding a preceptor would be determined by the number of practicing midwives in the area, and the number of women wanting preceptors...not necessarily the program you choose to use. Just an observation from my community.
